In the world of My Hero Academiaone cannot judge a book by its cover due to how a Quirk can impact physical appearances. Misleading appearances, combined with the dangerous situations these students have faced, make it easy to forget that Class 1-A is made up of first years students in high school. All of these students are 15 when they first appear, and they're 16 at the current point in the series.

10 Tenya Iida Was Born On August 22

Tenya Iida is 1-A's class representative. Known for his "by the rules" personality and strong sense of justice, Tenya is one of the most mature students in 1-A. Iida's sense of maturity causes him to constantly look after his fellow classmates. With his desire to uphold the mantle of the "Turbo Hero: Ingenium," which is passed down to him by his brother, Iida is working fast and hard to become a great hero.

9 Momo Yaoyorozu Was Born On September 23

Serving as vice president, Momo is one of the top-ranked students in Class 1-A. Not only does Momo's creation quirk make her an impressive young hero, but her tenacity and level-headedness are what set her apart. It is also these qualities that make her a leader to her fellow classmates.

However, Momo also has her own set of shortcomings, like underestimating herself during final exams. She shows that, despite her maturity, she too is just a teenager.

8 Minoru Mineta Was Born On October 8

Fans might have guessed that 1-A's resident grape boy is one of the younger students in the class. Mineta is known to have a lack of maturity amongst the 1-A students, bursting into tears when faced with danger, lacking confidence in his own skills, and most notably desiring to be fawned on by girls. Immaturity is definitely a personality trait that has become well associated with his character.

7 Eijiro Kirishima Was Born On October 16

Kirishima might constantly talk about "manliness," but he himself is amongst the younger members of Class 1-A. Known for his fiery, confident attitude and ability to befriend Bakugo, Kirishima is a prominent member of Class 1-A. However, it is Kirishima's unbreakable spirit that makes him stand out despite his young age. After facing multiple villains who caused Kirishima to question his ability to help anyone, he did not break and instead steeled his resolve. The hero, Red Riot, will be known for his bravery, determination, and selflessness.

6 Fumikage Tokoyami Was Born On October 30

Tokoyami, Class 1-A's resident "creature of the dark" is amongst the youngest students. The Jet-Black Hero is one of the more reserved and serious students of 1-A, with a fanatic love of darkness and the ability to shred the electric guitar. Tokoyami is a talented and dedicated student, obtaining an internship under Pro Hero Hawks and training hard to improve his ability to work with Dark Shadow. However, what fans may find most surprising is that Tokoyami's birthday lands on the day before Halloween, perfectly suiting his darker and edgier interests.

5 Ochaco Uraraka Was Born On December 27

Due to her bubbly and sometimes airheaded attitude, it make sense that Uraraka is on the younger end of her class. However, despite her seemingly laid-back personality, Uraraka has always wanted to be a hero in order to make people smile and support her loving parents.

As her time in the hero course progressed, she faced multiple villains during her work-study and questioned her own mettle as a hero. Fortunately, Uraraka figures out what kind of hero she wants to be, one who protects the heroes when they are hurting.

4 Shoto Todoroki Was Born On January 11

Fans already know that Todoroki is the baby of his own family, but he's one of the younger students in Class 1-A as well. His stoic and seemingly emotionless attitude makes Todoroki appear to be on the more mature side. With his powerful quirk and ability to wield it, Todoroki is already on his way to becoming a great hero. However, he can also be extremely dense. For example, he believed he was cursed to break his friends' arms, which showed that he could still be naive at times.

3 Koji Koda Was Born On February 1

Despite his brutish and rocklike appearance, Koda is shy and quiet. He only ever really talks out loud to use his quirk. At the same time, Koda is also very kind-hearted and has a love for animals. His timid personality, along with his severe fear of bugs, gives him a more youthful feel. However, despite Koda's introverted nature and his entomophobia, he is able to push past his comfort zone in order to help his friends.

2 Tsuyu Asui Was Born On February 12

Asui, or "Tsu" as she prefers to be called, might be the oldest sibling in her immediate family, but she's the second-youngest amongst the 1-A students. Because she is the big sister in her family, Tsu appears to be one of the more mature students.

Her maturity is a quality that can be seen during the Training Camp Arc. Tsuyu's stance against saving Bakugo on their own from the League of Villains displayed her maturity despite it being an unpopular opinion. Tsuyu's calm and collected attitude makes it hard to believe that she is one of the youngest students in 1-A.

1 Mezo Shoji Was Born On February 15

Mutant type quirks are known for extremely altering one's appearance, and Shoji is a prime example of this. Despite his tall and muscular appearance, rivaling that of some Pro-Heroes, fans may be astounded to learn that he is the youngest of the 1-A students. However, it's not only his appearance that gives Shoji a sense of maturity but also his personality. Shoji is a very loyal and protective friend who is willing to put himself in harm's way if it means being able to save the people he cares about.
