Naruto: 10 Things That Make No Sense About The Jinchuriki | CBR

Jinchuriki are special people in the Naruto world who have Tailed Beasts sealed inside of them, essentially making them vessels for the beasts. Since the beasts themselves are quite powerful, the Jinchuriki also gain access to a lot of power. Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the story, is one of these Jinchuriki with the Nine-Tails sealed inside of him.

Just like him, other characters also have Tailed Beasts sealed inside of them. While the Jinchuriki are usually quite powerful, their lives are extremely difficult to live. Masashi Kishimoto has written them to be quite complex, but some things about the Jinchuriki simply don't make sense.

10 The Jinchuriki Are Hated Quite A Lot

Since the Jinchuriki carry Tailed Beasts inside of them, they are ostracized by the entire village and outright hated by many. While this is an easy detail to accept, it doesn't make sense on a deeper level. The hatred of the Tailed Beasts makes sense due to them having destroyed villages in the past, but the humans who contain these beasts are completely innocent. In fact, they're usually protecting the people of the village by harboring a beast inside of them. Their harsh treatment simply makes no sense.

9 The Powers Of The Jinchuriki Are Hardly Studied

Jinchuriki have tremendous power inside of themselves which is sometimes put on display. This power ranges from giving the user a massive spike in terms of chakra to giving them a high healing factor. Evidently, this power could result in great advancements if it were studied, but that rarely happens. In the entire series, only Sunagakure is known to have studied their Jinchuriki and used that data in research and ninja arts.

8 Nobody Cares About The Lives Of The Jinchuriki

Jinchuriki are human just like every other person in a ninja village, yet they're treated like they're inferior to the rest. In fact, Jinchuriki are hated so much that people wish death upon them simply for existing. This inhumane treatment of Jinchuriki makes no sense, especially since a lot of them are mere children. The adults of the world should be smart enough to separate a human from what's sealed inside of them. Strangely enough, that rarely happens in the story.

7 Villages Sometimes Want To Get Rid Of Their Jinchuriki

According to the Akatsuki, there have been several instances where the villages have wanted to rid themselves of their Jinchuriki. Unsurprisingly, this makes little to no sense. Jinchuriki are often used as a show of power in a village.

Every village has at least one Tailed Beast in Naruto which maintains the balance of power. Wanting to lose them would be absurd when they're the biggest power that a village has.

6 Jinchuriki Are Often Related To The Kage Of A Village

The Jinchuriki are often known to be related to the Kage in some way, and it appears to be a tradition in a lot of villages. Killer Bee is the brother of Ay, the Fourth Raikage, while Gaara is the son of Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage. Naruto himself is related to a Kage, as his father was the Fourth Hokage of the village. This tradition serves no purpose to the story and makes no sense.

5 Some Jinchuriki Are Known To Be Compatible With A Tailed Beast

Often, it needs to be ensured if a Jinchuriki is compatible with a Tailed Beast or not for unexplained reasons. After Blue Bee's death, Killer Bee's compatibility with the Eight-Tails was thoroughly checked. Meanwhile, it took several instances to find the right Jinchuriki for Shukaku. At the same time, Uzumaki Clan members are known to be the best Jinchuriki for Kurama. It has never been explained why that's the case, so taking these extra steps to find a Jinchuriki makes no sense.

4 Most Jinchuriki Don't Care About Their Tailed Beasts

Jinchuriki are capable of talking to their Tailed Beasts all the time, and over the years, countless Jinchuriki must've existed. The Tailed Beasts have suffered at the hands of humans more than the humans have.

They've been enslaved, tortured, and even forced to attack others. For some reason, only a few Jinchuriki, such as Naruto and Bee, have tried to get the Tailed Beasts to open up about themselves.

3 Very Few Perfect Jinchuriki Exist In The Story

Perfect Jinchuriki are people who form a bond with their Tailed Beasts and are in complete harmony with them. The Jinchuriki gains complete access to their chakra and becomes extremely powerful. Surprisingly, very few people have managed to become perfect Jinchuriki. What makes this even stranger is the fact that villages know a perfect Jinchuriki is much stronger than a regular one. If anything, healthy relationships between a Jinchuriki and their Tailed Beasts should've been encouraged from the start.

2 Tailed Beasts Can Be Sealed Inside Reincarnated Bodies

Surprisingly enough, Tailed Beasts can be sealed inside the bodies of people who are reincarnated. This was seen when Obito Uchiha created his own Six Paths of Pain with the Rinnegan and later sealed the Tailed Beasts within them even though they were dead. Yet, at the same time, the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails has to be alive. No reincarnated body can be made the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki.

1 Not Every Jinchuriki Dies After Tailed Beast Extraction

It's an established rule that a Jinchuriki will die after their Tailed Beast is extracted from them. However, later in the story, several characters managed to get around this problem. Kushina was able to not only survive but also restrain Kurama with her chains and seal him inside a barrier. Naruto survived long enough to have the other half of Kurama sealed inside him. What was once an established rule kept being changed for the sake of the plot.
