To become an assassin for the Ten Rings, Shang-Chi's training started when he was a small child – overseen by the colorful masked warrior known as Death Dealer. Death Dealer was set up as a huge threat that fans only witnessed when he faced off against an adult Shang-Chi in Macao.
However, when the Ten Rings invaded Ta Lo and unleashed the Dweller-In-Darkness, his surprising demise as one of the first stolen souls caught fans off-guard, leaving them wanting more from the mysterious Death Dealer.
4 The Return Of Iron Man 3's Trevor Slattery Was Unexpected
One of the most surprising character reveals in Shang-Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings was the return of Ben Kingsley's, Trevor Slattery. A failed actor from Iron Man 3, he was kept prisoner by Wenwu after Aldrich Killian's scheme to usurp The Ten Rings with the creation of a terrorist threat known as The Mandarin failed.

When Shang-Chi and his father Wenwu met on the battlefield in Ta Lo, fans were surprised to see Shang-Chi fall. However, in one of the movie's most shocking scenes, he was saved by the mythical Great Protector dragon that empowered the warriors of Ta Lo.

Her natural talent for archery was nurtured and further trained by Master Guang Bo, which allowed her to participate in the final battle against the Ten Rings. However, it was only when the Dweller-In-Darkness arrived that she was able to deliver a crucial blow. Firing a powerful dragon scale arrow into the throat of the soul-sucking demon, she surprised both herself and the audience.
