A purported leak for Spider-Man: No Way Home claims Eddie Brock/Venom will appear at the end of the movie, potentially setting up the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Peter Parker (Tom Holland) getting his symbiote suit.
In a video posted to YouTube, RPK News claims the post-credits scene for No Way Home will feature Eddie and Venom getting sent back to their universe after Spider-Man finishes dealing with various villains from other worlds. However, Eddie and Venom leave some of the symbiote behind in the MCU. At this time, it's possible this leak is not legitimate, and if true, it's unlikely to be confirmed before No Way Home releases. Still, RPK News is the YouTube channel of notable leaker Daniel Richtman/DanielRPK, who has been accurate in the past.
The original Venom film, which released in 2018, was the first installment of Sony's Spider-Man Universe, which is separate from the MCU. However, despite being from different universes, both Holland and Eddie actor Tom Hardy have said they'd like their characters to fight one another. The possibility of them meeting came much closer following the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. In that movie's post-credits scene, Eddie and Venom saw footage of J. Jonah Jameson identifying Holland's Peter Parker as Spider-Man.
If the above leak proves true, the symbiote entering the MCU could serve as the foundation for more films featuring Holland's Spider-Man. Recently, Sony Pictures confirmed work on a new trilogy, with Holland continuing in his role, so it's possible this post-credits scene is set-up for that. However, it's unclear how Marvel Studios and Sony might approach any future castings of Venom.
The third movie featuring Holland as Peter, No Way Home is set after the events of 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. In the film, Peter will go to Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help re-hiding his secret identity, leading to them accidentally breaking open the multiverse. As such, Spider-Man must face a number of different enemies from previous franchises, including Alfred Molina's Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx's Max Dillon/Electro. There are also rumors that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will play their own versions of Peter from The Amazing Spider-Man movies and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, respectively. For his part, though, Garfield has repeatedly downplayed any potential role in No Way Home.
No Way Home releases on Dec. 17, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage is available for digital download now, with a physical media release following on Dec. 14. Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home are on sale now.
