WARNING: the following contains spoilers for Hawkeye Episode 3, "Echoes," which aired Wednesday on Disney+.
Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) has proven himself to be an excellent archer with his signature bow and arrow, but sometimes, he needs a few high-tech upgrades to get the job done. And while he denied using trick arrows when Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) questioned him about them earlier in the season, he reveals a powerful new arrow in Episode 3 of Hawkeye, "Echoes."
Clint and Kate manage to escape from the Tracksuit Mafia's lair early in the episode but struggle to lose them during a car chase across town. In an attempt to shake off their pursuers, Kate shoots off some of Hawkeye's trick arrows and slows down the Tracksuits using putty, smoke bombs and explosives. But the pair are eventually cornered by the Tracksuits on a bridge while Kazi (Fra Fee) speeds up his van with the intention of ramming it straight into them.

Clint then pulls over the car and instructs Kate to shoot an arrow towards the sky before loading up his own bow with a silver arrow. As the camera focus shifts away from Clint's face, it reveals a glowing blue Pym Technologies logo emblazoned on the tip of the arrow. Clint shoots the Pym arrow directly against Kate's arrow, which then expands to a gigantic size. The enormous arrow lands directly on the van and blows up the rear of the vehicle, forcing Kazi to pull over.
A Hawkeye promo that aired on Nov. 21 teased a later episode that showed Clint making his own trick arrows. He was seen using Stark tech, which he has had access to since Tony Stark became involved with the Avengers. This situation, however, is the first time Clint has used an arrow that was enhanced with Pym Particles. But while the new weapon hints at the possibility of a working relationship between Clint and Pym, it also brings up questions about the many uses of Pym Particles.

Clint was the first Avenger to use the Pym Particles to travel back in time in Avengers: Endgame, while Scott Lang used the particles to transform into both Giant-Man and Ant-Man during his various MCU appearances. In both instances, the particles were used via protective suits, but Hawkeye's arrow instantly enlarges any object that comes into contact with it. It's evident that the Pym Arrow can increase the size of an inanimate object, and that could mean it could have the same effect on living beings.
Scott only changes his size while wearing his suit, which allows him to avoid any hazardous side-effects from the Pym Particles. Pym always stresses the importance of wearing the helmet, as shrinking or expanding without it could affect the chemical balance of the brain. And that means that humans who come into contact with the arrow could be seriously harmed -- or even killed. The show may have made light of Hawkeye's new toy, but in the wrong hands, it could be extremely dangerous.
To see Clint's new arrow, new episodes of Hawkeye air Wednesdays on Disney+.
