My Hero Academia: 10 Students Who Could Survive Squid Game Without Quirks

The South Korean drama action series Squid Game is another take on the battle royale concept, and this time, the twist is that the players must beat the odds and each other in deadly versions of children's games. They must play tug-of-war, Red Light Green Light, marbles and more, and they might even be pitted against one another in between games, too. All according to Oh Il-nam's plans.

These games often involve luck, especially the glass bridge game, but the six games also demand physical strength and agility, a clever and insightful mind, and social skills to cultivate allies and make as few enemies as possible. With all that in mind, it's clear which characters from other franchises would survive the games or not, and that includes students from My Hero Academia.

10 Izuku Midoriya Is Strong, Smart & Trustworthy

Many students in My Hero Academia could fight their way out of the Squid Game tournament with their Quirks, and easily overpower the guards and other players. But even without Quirks, a handful of students could survive the six games, and that includes the hero himself, Izuku Midoriya.

Izuku went through serious physical training to obtain All For One, which will count for a lot in the Squid Game tournament. He also has a sharp and calculating mind that could help him figure out the games, recruit worthwhile allies and create plans to deal with troublemakers such as Deok-su.

9 Katsuki Bakugo Is Smart & Tough, Too

Izuku's childhood friend, the explosive Katsuki Bakugo, is an ace student both on paper and on the battlefield. It's easy to think he's all brawn and no brains where Quirks are concerned, but he ranks in Class 1-A's top five students. He also has a fairly sharp tactical mind, though he's not used to studying Quirks like Izuku.

Even without Explosion, Bakugo would stand a very real chance of surviving the six games, given his smarts, physical strength and his fierce determination to win. He and Deok-su would either become mortal enemies, or team up and crush all the noobs around them.

8 Tenya Iida Conditions His Body & Mind Alike

Most My Hero Academia students who can survive the Squid Game tournament boast remarkable intelligence and physical prowess without the benefit of their Quirks, and melee-oriented students like Izuku and the studious Tenya Iida are at a serious advantage where that's concerned. Tenya will definitely survive to earn that cash prize.

Tenya Iida is an ace student and a disciplined boy who takes everything very seriously, and he won't let himself get complacent. He pushes himself in body in mind to realize his potential, and that, combined with his leadership skills, will see him through the six games.

7 Tsuyu Asui Is Agile & Clever

Tsuyu Asui is the frog girl of Class 1-A, and her mature, kind attitude endears her to many of her classmates. Her charisma and sharp wits would allow her to form or join a trustworthy team in the Squid Game tournament, and she could boost everyone's spirits with her kindness and empathy.

Tsuyu isn't as strong as Tenya or Izuku, with or without Quirks, so she'll have to win the trust of several stronger allies to help her survive the tug-of-war game. Knowing her, she could easily form a cohesive and effective team to see her through all six games.

6 Mirio Togata Is A Melee Powerhouse

Mirio Togata is one of U.A.'s "big three," owing to his extensive battlefield experience, his massive physical strength, his remarkable Permeation Quirk and his indomitable will. With his Quirk, Mirio is nearly untouchable, but even without it, he is a formidable fighter.

Like Izuku and Tsuyu, Mirio is an empathetic and charismatic fellow who could handily form a trustworthy team to survive the six games, and he would stand up to bullies like Deok-su or schemers like Sang-woo with ease. Plus, he'd be a total monster in the tug-of-war game.

5 Momo Yaoyorozu Can Plan For Anything

With her Quirk, Momo Yaoyorozu can create just about anything from her bare skin, and that makes her a highly effective support hero. If she becomes Quirkless and is thrust into the Squid Game tournament, she will still have a solid chance of winning.

Momo is Class 1-A's smartest and craftiest student, and she would easily figure out the games and plan ahead for absolutely everything. She could also assemble and lead a small but trustworthy team, and she could improvise all kinds of tools and weapons as a substitute for her Quirk.

4 Itsuka Kendo Has Formidable Strength & Leadership Qualities

Itsuka Kendo is a melee hero with a good heart, and in many ways, she is similar to Tsuyu Asui, Tenya Iida and Izuku Midoriya, which will help her greatly when playing the six games for that cash prize. Itsuka has a lean and strong body, with or without her Big Fist Quirk, and she has a formidable mind to match.

Strategically, Itsuka isn't on Momo's level, but she can still stand up to Momo and Class 1-A, meaning she could craftily navigate her way through a sea of potential allies and enemies alike among the Squid Game's many contestants. She also has the physical grace and strength to clear the games.

3 Rikido Sato Is Brawny & Easy To Like

If he ended up in the Squid Game tournament, Rikido Sato would have to be careful. He stands a real chance of surviving the six games, but he's also a bit too trusting and forgiving by Squid Game standards, so he must exercise caution when it comes to allies and enemies. He might be fooled and have his gentle nature taken advantage of.

Deok-su and Sang-woo would be a problem for Rikido, since they're schemers who could exploit Rikido's kind personality. But if Rikido plays his cards just right and thinks things through, he could join a team of like-minded people and help them win the tug-of-war game. In that game, he'd be tough to beat.

2 Neito Monona Is Deceptively Intelligent

The loudmouthed Neito Monoma is mainly known for his obnoxious rivalry with Class 1-A, and he also has a devious Copy Quirk that makes him remarkably flexible in Quirk-based battles. Like Izuku, Neito is used to studying other people and their tactics, which will give him an edge in the Squid Game tournament.

Neito may be annoying and petty, but he's not stupid. He is actually quite crafty and insightful, he won't make a move until he's got a solid plan in mind, and he's choosy about his allies. Neito could form or join a reliable team before the games start, then use his slick mind to survive the trickier games, such as marbles or the dalgona candy game.

1 Eijiro Kirishima Is Well-Balanced

Eijiro Kirishima believes he's a manly man, and he was inspired by the tough but noble hero Crimson Riot. Eijiro believes that a true man is strong, confident, brave, and selfless, and that is what makes for a true hero. In his heart, he is already a pro.

Eijiro is a fine melee fighter and a fairly strong boy who would do just fine at tug-of-war in the Squid Game tournament, and he could also inspire a team of contestants to try their hardest to win. Like Rikido, Eijiro would have to be careful about schemers like Deok-su and Sang-woo, but if he can overcome them, he's sure to survive the entire tournament.
