Resident Evil 8 Gets Early Summer Release Date | CBR

A new trailer for Resident Evil Village has been released along with a May 7 release date.

The trailer debuted during Capcom's Resident Evil Showcase and focuses on Ethan Winters as he explores a strange village that a mysterious voice claims is full of "blood and death." Gameplay footage features Ethan encountering multiple monsters, including Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters.

The trailer ends with Ethan encountering a mysterious man clad in black. "Who the fuck are you?" Ethan asks. "Let's see what you're really made of, Ethan Winters," the man replies, chuckling creepily.

Resident Evil: Village will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, as well as a free digital, next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. Gamers can also order the Deluxe version that includes multiple bonus items such as the Samurai Edge weapon, and the Collector's Edition, which features everything in the Deluxe Edition plus a poster, an art book and SteelBook case. The Collector's Edition will also come with a Chris Redfield statue.

Resident Evil: Village will be available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam on May 7.
