Marvel's Falcon and Winter Soldier Debuts New Trailer | CBR

Get ready for action!

With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier set to premiere on Disney+ next month, Marvel Studios debuted a new trailer for the fast-approaching series during Super Bowl LV.

Interestingly enough, it was during last year's Super Bowl that Marvel debuted the first official footage from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier -- alongside footage from the currently-ongoing WandaVision and the upcoming Loki -- with a standalone first-look at the series following suit this past December. This new full-length trailer opens with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes attempting to work through their issues with one another. High-octane action follows as Captain America: Civil War villain Baron Zemo returns to finish what he started.

Set after the events of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame, which saw Steve Rogers pass the Captain America shield to Sam, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier sends Sam and Bucky on a "global adventure" that will "test their abilities -- and their patience." All the while, Sam and Bucky will wrestle with Cap's legacy, which will be made all the more difficult as a new contender, the government-manufactured U.S. Agent, enters the fray. More returning Marvel Cinematic Universe characters like James Rhodes/War Machine, Sharon Carter/Agent 13 and Baron Zemo will factor into the story too, as will newcomers like U.S. Agent and the Flag-Smashers.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.
