Paul Bettany Says Your WandaVision Theories May Be 'Incredibly Accurate'

WandaVision's Paul Bettany has been paying special attention to fan theories about the strange world of Westview on social media and he's been "loving" reading people's ideas.

"I'm loving it being disseminated to the fans," Bettany told Marvel.com. "And I love how frustrated they are of not being able to see it all in one fix," he said. "I love reading their theories of what might happen. And some of them are incredibly accurate, actually."

The Vision actor jokingly added, "I keep thinking, 'Marvel should give that person a job.' It's been a whole lot of fun watching them go through this. I mean, I know they've been waiting a long time. So, have we." He shared that watching the story unfold over eight weeks is a stark difference from his prior Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, saying it's a "really different feeling" but he "loves this journey" overall.

While the actor didn't reveal any future spoilers for the series, he added, "I find it really moving," referring to how the show ends. "I'm really excited for it to end and for people to get to the ending. And then it's out there."

WandaVision's most recent episode, "On a Very Special Episode," focused on Vision slowly realizing that things are out of sorts in his new hometown of Westview. However, Wanda refused to listen to Vision, telling him that his sense of lost time and lost memories are all in his head. Later in the show's Episode 5, S.W.O.R.D. revealed that Vision's body was stolen by Wanda pre-construction of Westview, seemingly suggesting that she resurrected him -- in some way -- through her powers.

Before Vision could push Wanda on her deflecting behavior, a surprise guest visited the duo -- Quicksilver, portrayed by Fox's X-Men franchise star Evan Peters. Since Peters' appearance on the series, fans speculated that mutants are entering the MCU through WandaVision; however, this fan theory has yet to be confirmed in the series.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
