Almost any fan of anime is aware of the immensely powerful characters that make up the Dragon Ball universe. Known as Saiyans, the extra-terrestrial race possesses extraordinary strength capable of destroying planets. Furthermore, Saiyans are gifted the rare ability to evolve during battle, surpassing their limits to overcome almost any opponent.
Because of this, there are very few anime characters capable of competing with Saiyans. In fact, most would be destroyed in an instant, decimated before they had the chance to attack. However, this doesn't mean the Dragon Ball warriors can't be challenged. There are several anime where its characters could defeat the Saiyan warriors and some that would push them to surpass their limits.

An incredibly popular anime, Hunter X Hunter consists of powerful characters with diverse abilities. Using the power called Nen, characters can do almost anything, such as moving faster than lightspeed, creating doppelgangers, and stealing others' abilities.
Fights taking place in Hunter X Hunter are often highly tactical, with characters carefully adapting to their opponent's skills and countering. Despite the endless possibilities Nen provides, no character has displayed a power that comes close to a Saiyan's. Warriors like Goku can destroy planets. No Hunter possesses that much power.

One-Punch Man is one of the few anime capable of producing characters that can go toe-to-toe with those from Dragon Ball. Fans often debate on who would win in a battle between the main protagonists Goku and Saitama.
Both possess overwhelming strength and have overcome every opponent who stands in their way. Whilst Goku and Vegeta possess God-like power, Saitama can defeat anyone in one punch and is yet to be challenged. Aside from Saitama, characters like Blast, Boros, and Garou are gifted with the power to rival any Saiyan.

Black Clover is a world consisting of powerful Mages with unique skills and abilities. There are Mages who manipulate the elements and turn wind, water, and fire into fearsome attacks. Then there are magic types that break the laws of nature including time magic and dark magic.
Combine these with the intelligence and experience of their user and Black Clover shows off its destructive characters in epic battles. Like in Dragon Ball, those in Black Clover regularly evolve in battle. However, even the most powerful characters would struggle to compete with Saiyans.
6 As Strong: Jujutsu Sorcerer Satoru Gojo & King Of Curses Sukuna Are In A League Of Their Own
Storming on to the anime scene, Jujutsu Kaisen has been a revelation. Focusing on the power struggle between cursed spirits and jujutsu sorcerers, fans have been blessed with an array of extraordinary heroes and villains using cursed energy to achieve their goals.
There aren't too many characters with power similar to a Saiyan, but two come to mind; Sorcerer Satoru Gojo and King of Curses Sukuna are in a league of their own. With an insane amount of cursed energy, these two are yet to be tested. Maybe a Saiyan would be more of a challenge.

Fullmetal Alchemist follows the fascinating, yet tragic lives of the Elric Brothers as they search for the philosopher's stone so they can bring back their mother. Along the way, fans watch the brothers grow in strength and exceed their limits.
They're not alone, meeting and fighting powerful alchemists and Homunculi, experiencing both victory and defeat. Some characters possess inhuman strength, speed, and destructive power. Others use alchemy to create huge amounts of fire and water whilst some regenerate from any injury. Despite this, alchemy has its limits whilst a Saiyan's power is practically limitless.
4 As Strong: Naruto & Sasuke Are So Strong They Are Considered Gods
As an anime as popular as Dragon Ball, Naruto reached dizzying heights partly because of the mighty shinobi that are introduced. The abilities on display are endless. Destructive balls of Chakra, nightmarish illusions, and teleportations are just some of the jutsu fans witnessed.
Not all characters could compete with a Saiyan. In fact, most would only last seconds. However, characters like Naruto, Sasuke, and Madara are strong enough and skilled enough to defeat almost anyone in the Dragon Ball universe, including the Saiyans.

Demon Slayer portrays the battle between bloodthirsty demons and the slayers trained to defeat them. The rest of humanity remains unaware of the secretive war, going about their lives without the knowledge of the sacrifice a select few are making. Using ancient breathing techniques, the slayers can increase their speed, strength and enhance their senses.
Furthermore, each slayer is trained in a certain breathing technique such as water and fire breathing, making their attacks even more destructive. The Hashira, the strongest slayers, and high-ranking demons would definitely make some Saiyans sweat. However, in the end, they would meet their end.
2 As Strong: Alucard's Immortality Makes Him The Ultimate Opponent
There aren't too many Hellsing characters who could put up a fight against a Saiyan. In all honesty, there's only one. Alucard is the main protagonist of the series. He is the most powerful vampire to ever exist and his strength is legendary.
Some of his feats include catching bullets between his teeth, regenerating after being cut in half, and calling on an entire army of souls to cause city-wide destruction. Although impressive, these don't stack up against the feats of a Saiyan. However, Alucard is seemingly immortal, meaning he could eventually wear down any opponent until they're weak enough to defeat.

The Seven Deadly Sins details the battle between humans, demons and angels, each determined to prevent the other from taking power. The anime is flooded with powerful individuals with destructive attacks.
The members of the Seven Deadly Sins possess insane power, only rivaled by the Ten Commandments, the name given to the strongest demons. Although strong, no character has yet to display the power to destroy an entire planet, and Goku and Vegeta would comfortably defeat each character.
