In anticipation of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's debut episode on Disney+ on March 19, Marvel Studios: Legends dropped a new trailer featuring the antagonistic duo.
The Disney+ series released a clip showcasing Falcon's (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier's (Sebastian Stan) wittiest moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Marvel Studios: Legends trailer used footage from its "Falcon" and "Winter Soldier" episodes that told the characters' stories through clips taken from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
The clip also features the famous MCU scene between Bucky and Sam in a car together. Bucky asks Sam, "Can you move your seat up?" To which Sam replies, "No." Both the "Falcon" and the "Winter Soldier" episodes of Marvel Studio: Legends debuted on Disney+ on March 5.
Marvel President and Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige revealed that the origin of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier came during filming on Captain America: Civil War, particularly while watching Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's interactions on set. "From the dailies of Civil War, seeing them interact with each other... If we ever had an opportunity we would watch a whole show [of that]," Feige previously stated.
Marvel Studios: Legends features episodes centered around the protagonists of Marvel Studios' upcoming television series and their biggest moments in the MCU. Marvel Studios: Legends launched on Jan. 8 with a pair of episodes centered on Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and the Vision ahead of WandaVision's premiere on Disney+. In addition to an episode focused on Wilson and Barnes, Marvel Studios: Legends will have episodes focused solely on Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.
