Square Enix offers a hi-res look at the official key art for Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection, an upcoming bundle containing updated versions of developer Dontnod Entertainment's Life Is Strange and developer Deck Nine's Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. The Remastered Collection will release this fall alongside Deck Nine's latest installment, Life Is Strange: True Colors.
The art features Max Caulfield (main protagonist of Life Is Strange) alongside Chloe Price (deuteragonist of Life Is Strange and main protagonist of Before the Storm). This image initially surfaced when the Remastered Collection was announced with a trailer last week. "Here's a look at the key art for the Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection," the official Life Is Strange Twitter account wrote today, attaching a hi-res version to the post.
The Remastered Collection will first be available exclusively as part of the Ultimate Edition of Life Is Strange: True Colors, which stars a new character named Alex Chen and is slated for release on Sept. 10. In addition to the Life Is Strange Remastered and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered, True Colors' Ultimate Edition will include Life Is Strange: Wavelengths -- a DLC pack focusing on the character Steph -- and four in-game outfits for Alex inspired by previous Life Is Strange protagonists (Max, Chloe, Sean and Chris). Life Is Strange Remastered and Before the Storm Remastered will then be available for purchase separately later in the year.
An episodic graphic adventure game set in the fictional city of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, Dontnod's Life Is Strange originally released in 2015. Deck Nine's Before the Storm arrived in 2017 as a direct prequel to the first game. Dontnod continued the main series in 2018 with Life Is Strange 2, which follows playable protagonist Sean Diaz. Life Is Strange 2 was preceded by The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a free prelude game starring the character Chris Eriksen.
True Colors is a departure from Life Is Strange, Before the Storm and Life Is Strange 2 in that it is not episodic, and will be released in its entirety on Sept. 10. The Deck Nine-developed spinoff takes the Life Is Strange franchise to the Colorado mountains, though features ties to previous games, namely the character Steph, who was introduced in Before the Storm.
Developed by Dontnod Entertainment and Deck Nine and published by Square Enix, Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection arrives this fall for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia.
