One Piece: 5 DC Heroes Roronoa Zoro Can Beat (& 5 He Can't) | CBR

One Piece's Straw Hat Pirates are some of the toughest pirates on the Grand Line and second only to their captain Monkey D. Luffy is Roronoa Zoro. The master of Three Sword Style, Zoro has been with the crew since just about the beginning, trading his life as a pirate hunter for adventure on the high seas. Just like Luffy wanted to be King of the Pirates, Zoro desired to be the greatest swordsman in the world and he's survived some grueling sword fights in his quest to prove he's the best.

Zoro is a skilled and powerful fighter and even the heroes of DC would have a problem facing him. While there are some that would best him, others would fall to his amazing technique.

10 Could Beat: Hawkman's Flight Wouldn't Help Against Zoro

Hawkman is one of the toughest heroes in the DC Universe, with millennia of experience. A fierce combatant, he's a master of various weapons and his flying abilities give him a lot of attack and defense options. However, his flight isn't going to daunt Zoro so much.

Zoro's smart and fast. He'll avoid Hawkman's attacks and take out Hawkman's wings, putting the two on equal footing. As good as Hawkman is, he's never faced anything like Zoro's Three Sword Style and that's going to win the fight for Zoro- Hawkman wouldn't be able to counter Zoro's offense and it would cost him.

9 Couldn't Beat: There's No Way Zoro Could Beat Superman

Zoro is tough but Superman is just way out of his league. Superman has faced down some of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe and his menagerie of powers make him one of the toughest heroes ever. Zoro has won a lot of fights against a lot of powerful foes but Superman would a road too far for him.

Superman has him beat in every way; even using a magic sword wouldn't help Zoro very much because Superman would just shift into high gear and use his super speed and strength to take down Zoro. Zoro would try but it would be futile.

8 Could Beat: Wildcat Couldn't Deal With Zoro's Swords

Wildcat doesn't get a lot of credit for just how great of a fighter he is. One of Batman's mentors, Wildcat has been around for a very long time and has held his own against some of the most dangerous threats the Justice Society has ever faced. However, as good as he is, his boxing skills aren't going to help him against Zoro.

Zoro's sword style is going to give him a huge advantage over Wildcat, as he doesn't really have anything that can defend against swords. He's fast and strong but that's not going to help very much because Zoro is stronger, faster, and has his swords.

7 Couldn't Beat: Wonder Woman Has The Power And The Skill To Beat Zoro

Zoro has had some great swords over the years but Wonder Woman's weapons are forged by the god Hephaestus, making them better than anything Zoro has. Zoro and Wonder Woman are an interesting match-up. Zoro is probably more skilled than her with a sword and his style is something she's never encountered before but Wonder Woman's powers and skills would be up to the challenge of beating him.

It would be a very good fight, with Zoro really challenging Wonder Woman before she gets her bearings and starts to use her superior strength, speed, and flight to hit Zoro in ways he's not ready for. This will give her an advantage and allow her to win.

6 Could Beat: Cyborg's Strength And Skills Are No Match For Zoro

Cyborg has proven himself in recent years as one of the toughest heroes in the DC Universe but Zoro would have his number. Zoro doesn't have any technology that Cyborg can take advantage of and he's faced stronger opponents than himself before. While Cyborg's arms can transform into a variety of weapons, Zoro is fast and smart enough to overcome those advantages and win the fight.

It'll be a great battle, though, as both men get in some devastating attacks but Zoro's speed and skill are going to give him the advantage. His unorthodox fighting style will have Cyborg on the ropes and Zoro will carve the young hero up.

5 Couldn't Beat: Mr. Terrific's Brains Will Win Him The Fight

Zoro has Mr. Terrific beat in a lot of ways- he's faster, stronger, and more skilled. However, he's not smarter and that's going to give Terrific the win. His T-Spheres will allow him to even things up, keeping Zoro on his toes, giving Terrific the time he needs to figure out a way to take advantage of Zoro's weaknesses.

It will still be a tough fight for Terrific because Zoro is uncannily tough but in the end, Mr. Terrific's superior brainpower will give him the win. He'll have to replace a lot of T-Spheres after the fight, though.

4 Could Beat: Red Hood Is Good, But He's Not Good Enough

Red Hood is, surprisingly, one of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the DC Universe but that's not going to help him against Zoro. It all comes down to whether he can defend himself against Zoro's Three Sword Style and adapt quickly enough to it; the problem for Red Hood is that he's just too much of a hothead and Zoro will be able to take advantage of that.

Instead of slowing things down and thinking, Red Hood is going to keep rushing in and trying to overwhelm Zoro, which just isn't going to work. Zoro is too good and just too tough for all of that and would be able to defeat Red Hood in short order.

3 Couldn't Beat: Nightwing Would Be Able To Outsmart And Outfight Zoro

As good as Zoro is, Nightwing is just plain better. His acrobatic fighting style will allow him to stay out of the way of Zoro's furious sword attacks and his reinforced escrima sticks will give him some defense against the attacks he can't avoid. On top of that, Nightwing is a thinking man's fighter and that will win him this fight.

Nightwing may not have ever experienced anything like Zoro's style but that's not going to daunt him too much. He'll keep moving, picking his spots, letting Zoro tire himself out before hitting at the right moment, ending the fight with a furious combination of blows.

2 Could Beat: Zoro Would Be Able Nullify Green Arrow's Advantages

Green Arrow's archery skills give him a pretty big advantage over Zoro but it's not one that is insurmountable for the swordsman. Zoro can take a lot of damage and he's fast enough to be able to use his swords to deflect arrows. He's going to keep coming at Green Arrow, getting inexorably closer.

Once he gets in range, that's pretty much all she wrote for Ollie. Green Arrow is a great fighter but he's not going to be able to stand up to Zoro's furious sword assaults up close. It's only a matter of time before Zoro lands a big blow and takes Green Arrow down.

1 Couldn't Beat: Batman Is Just Too Skilled For Zoro

Zoro is one of the best fighters around- he's strong, fast, and skilled. However, he's never faced anyone like Batman. Batman is one of the best martial artists on the planet and he's better armed than he seems. Zoro is going to be able to get some good shots in at first but once Batman gets used to the Three Sword Style, the fight is pretty much over.

Batman is too smart to let Zoro dictate the pace of the fight. He'll use his advantages against Zoro, staying out of the swordsman's way and chipping away at his defense, testing him before really going into high gear against him. Zoro is great but he wouldn't be able to withstand Batman for long.
