Highly rated action role-playing game Genshin Impact has been hugely popular with gamers thanks to its beautiful art style, an open-world environment perfect for adventures and its exciting battle system. Despite running into some criticisms of gacha-style game monetization, Genshin Impact has been making its mark in the video game market.
One of Genshin's biggest focuses is character-switching, which it has supplemented with a series of DLC characters. The latest character is Rosaria, a Cryo character and a member of the Church of Favonius in Mondstadt.
Although Rosaria is a Sister of the Church of Favonius, she is something of the family's black sheep and would be unrecognizable as a member of the church if not for her attire. She comes off as an intimidating and cold woman shrouded in mystery. She also has a habit of disappearing without telling anyone. Rosaria acts much like a woman on a mission with her actions guided by some secretive purpose.
This may be the cause of Rosaria not getting along with her other Sisters/members of the church. She has an unorthodox manner of thinking, behaving, and speaking, which only adds to her intimidating presence. She sometimes snaps and curses people out by using the church's god's name in vain, which Fischl took as a sign of her piety - though other members would disagree. This is also a testament to her alternate title as the "Thorny Benevolence."
On the bright side, one of Rosaria's redeeming qualifications is that she always appears to be honest with herself. She doesn't partake in anything that she doesn't want to do, nor does she participate in things she finds boring. This gives her a rather lazy appearance on the surface when she is observed neglecting her church duties by her Sisters. However, Rosaria's personal reasons for neglecting her duties are because she holds herself responsible for investigating threats to the city.
Finding that purpose a much better use of her time, Rosaria ensures the safety of the church, her fellow church members and the city from possible threats. Because of this, Rosaria had also sharpened her sense of intuition and can correctly suspect Albedo of having ulterior motives. Similarly, she seems to know her way around interrogating and information gathering as she strategically gets Kaeya drunk to get a better read off of him. This might have been an easy task for Rosaria because of her high tolerance to alcohol, as she is often found enjoying alcoholic beverages and eating food doused in alcohol but states that she has never gotten drunk.
Rosaria's Normal Attack is known as Spear of the Church and normally performs up to five rapid strikes. When charged, the attack consumes Stamina and Rosaria will lunge forward, damaging anything in her way. As a plunging attack, Rosaria will plunge from mid-air to strike the ground beneath her, dealing damage to anyone in her way while also dealing AoE damage. Her Elemental Skill, Ravaging Confession, deals Cryo damage after she repositions herself behind a target to strike them with her polearm; however, Rosaria will not be able to reposition behind larger opponents.
Rites of Termination is an Elemental Burst that acts as Rosaria's unique take on the prayer ritual. This makes it so that Rosaria swings her weapon to slash surrounding enemies before conjuring an Ice Lance and striking at the ground. These moves deal Cryo damage, and the Ice Lance will periodically release blasts of cold air to deal bonus Cryo damage. Regina Probationum is her first Ascension Passive which increases Rosaria's Crit Rate by twelve percent for five seconds after successfully striking an enemy from behind when using Ravaging Confession.
Rosaria's 4th Ascension Passive is named Shadow Samaritan. It increases the crit rate of all party members except herself by fifteen percent of her own crit rate for ten seconds, but only after casting Rites of Termination. Lastly, her Utility Passive known as Night Walk increases the party's movement speed by ten percent at night - this does not apply in Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss and does not stack with other passive talents that provide the same effects.
While Rosaria can fit into a support build very well, she is much more efficient at dealing physical damage and critical strikes - especially with her signature Dragonspine Spear. With this weapon, Rosaria hits like a truck and makes the most out of her Cryo damage abilities. Weaker alternatives, such as the Skyward Spine, Halberd, and Crescent Pike, are also good choices that are more affordable.
Armor-wise, Rosaria does amazing in the Berserker Set, the Gladiator's Destiny Set or the Martial Artist Set. Combining the Gladiator's Destiny Set with the Martial Artist set or the two-piece Bloodstained Chivalry set are also viable options. Keep in mind that she is a polearm user, so build her accordingly to her fighting style and take advantage of her damage dealing prowess.
