Naruto: 10 Wishes Madara Would Make On The Dragon Balls | CBR

The Naruto franchise sat atop the anime industry for more than a decade, and it accomplished this because Masashi Kishimoto created a vibrant world filled with action and interesting characters, and most of these characters happen to be ninja. There are only a few ninja who managed to achieve legendary status, and Madara Uchiha is one of them. In fact, he is arguably one of the strongest ninja who ever lived.

The Dragon Ball franchise is also incredibly popular, and the series' most important aspect is perhaps the magical power of the Dragon Balls. There are seven balls in total, and once they are gathered together, they summon Shenron, a massive dragon who will usually grant a single wish. Madara may be a god-level ninja, but if he had access to the Dragon Balls, there are definitely a few things he would wish for.

10 He Would Wish To Bring His Brother Back To Life

Many consider Madara to be the series' best villain because he had certain qualities that made him stand out, and his best quality is the love he had for his younger brother. When he was alive, Izuna Uchiha was regarded as one of his clan's strongest members, and he died on the battlefield while fighting Tobirama Senju, the future Second Hokage.

Just before he died, Izuna gave Madara his eyes so he could protect the Uchiha. As Izuna was his last living brother, Madara took his death incredibly hard and would not hesitate to bring Izuna back to life with a wish.

9 He Would Wish To Gather All The Tailed Beasts Immediately

The Tailed Beasts are massive creatures made up of chakra, and although some are stronger than others, they are all extremely powerful. In order for Madara's plan to succeed, he needed to create the Divine Tree. And before he could do that, he needed to create the Ten-Tails.

The Tailed Beasts were once a part of the Ten-Tails, which meant that Madara needed to collect them all in order to bring it back to life and become its Jinchuriki. It took more than a decade to collect all of the beasts, and if Madara had the Dragon Balls, he could have saved a lot of time by simply wishing to have all the beasts in his possession from the beginning.

8 He Would Wish For Immortality

The Dragon Balls have been used to grant some pretty nonsensical wishes, but Madara is one of the smartest shinobi in history. Madara's plan was fairly complex, and by the time he was ready to enact it, he was too old and close to death.

If Madara used the Dragon Balls to give himself immortality, his old age would not be as big of a factor, and he could just use some of Hashirama's cells to rejuvenate his body. Being immortal would also mean that he wouldn't be able to die in battle, which would significantly increase the odds of his plan's success.

7 He Could Have Wished For Obito's Body

Madara needed to entrust his plan to someone capable, which is why he manipulated Obito into taking up his cause. In order to do this, he needed to have Rin kidnapped and have the Mist Village seal the Three-Tails inside of her. Then he needed to make sure that Obito witnessed her death.

A lot of things could have gone wrong with that plan, but if he had the Dragon Balls, he could have used them to switch bodies with Obito. This would have given Madara a much younger body, which would have allowed him to carry out his plan as originally intended.

6 He Would Wish To Fight Hashirama One Last Time

Madara is a legendary ninja, and over the course of his life, he has fought some of the strongest shinobi that the series has to offer. His greatest opponent is without a doubt Hashirama Senju, otherwise known as the First Hokage, and they battled each other dozens of times.

When the two met on the battlefield during the Fourth Great Ninja War as reanimated ninja, Madara was excited to face him again, but Hashirama turned him down in hilarious fashion. Hashirama died decades before Madara did, which means that he didn't have a chance to fight the powerful Senju with his Rinnegan. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprising if he wished to bring Hashirama back just to fight him again.

5 He Would Wish For Peace

When he was younger, Madara met a young Hashirama, and the two dreamed of a world where children weren't forced to fight and die on the battlefield. For a time, it appeared as though they had achieved that dream through cooperation and negations.

As time went by, though, Madara's view of peace changed, to the point where he believed that true peace could only be established if the Leaf Village stood atop all the other ninja villages. If he had the Dragon Balls, he could have achieved his version of peace by simply wishing for it.

4 He Could Have Wished For Subordinates Who Were Incapable Of Betrayal

Right before his initial death, Madara entrusted his plan to Obito, but the misguided Uchiha eventually saw the error of his ways and decided to help Naruto and his friends. He also put his trust in Black Zetsu, who turned out to be a physical manifestation of Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Madara's biggest mistake was trusting both of them, and he could have avoided their betrayals if he had used the Dragon Balls to create subordinates who were solely loyal to him.

3 He Would Simply Wish For The Infinite Tsukuyomi To Be Cast

Madara could have won the Fourth Great Ninja War a number of ways, but if he had the Dragon Balls, the war might have never even happened. He wanted to project the Infinite Tsukuyomi on the surface of the moon so that he could trap the entire world in a never-ending dream world devoid of war and pain.

If he had the Dragon Balls, he could have simply wished for the Infinite Tsukuyomi to be projected on the moon. And if that wasn't possible, he could have wished for everyone on Earth to be placed in a similar endless genjutsu.

2 He Would Wish To Become Stronger Than Hashirama

Throughout their lives, Hashirama was always stronger than Madara, and this made the Uchiha quite envious of his rival. It wasn't until after their final battle that Madara became the stronger one, and he did that by acquiring a portion of Hashirama's DNA, which was used to awaken the Rinnegan years later.

Had Madara been stronger than Hashirama, the history of the entire ninja world would be completely different, and his brother Izuna may have never died. Therefore, it is conceivable that he would have used the Dragon Balls to make himself stronger than his longtime rival.

1 He Would Wish To Undo All The Pain He Caused

Madara did a lot of terrible things in order to implement his Eye of the Moon plan, and these actions hurt a lot of people. It is thanks to him that Rin died, and this tore a hole in the hearts of both Kakashi and Obito. He is ultimately responsible for the Nine-Tails attack that robbed Naruto of his parents and led to the Uchiha Clan's destruction.

His plan led to the creation of the Akatsuki, a group of mercenaries who caused pain and destruction throughout the ninja world, and he killed thousands of ninja during the Fourth Great Ninja War. By the end of the series, Madara realized that he was wrong, and if he had access to the Dragon Balls at that moment, he would probably wish to undo all the pain he caused the world.
