Naruto: 8 Shonen Criminal Organizations The Akatsuki Can Defeat

The villain is vital to the quality of the anime. A great villain keeps viewers on edge, possessing the skill and intelligence to trouble the archetypal hero. They pose a genuine threat, creating a sense of unease even when they're not the central focus.

However, sometimes one villain isn't enough. Those who share the same ideals and philosophy occasionally team up, willing to put their egos aside for the cause. One enemy is dangerous, but an entire group? This often proves difficult for any hero to overcome. The Akatsuki were a group of elite shinobi, pooling their unique talents and absurd strength to take over the world. The Akatsuki were a force unlike any other.

8 The Aogiri Tree Only Accepted The Strongest Ghouls (Tokyo Ghoul)

The Aogiri Tree was a ghoul terrorist organization, determined on creating a better world for ghouls. The Aogiri only accepted the best of the best, filling their ranks with ghouls ranked SS or higher.

Amongst their strongest members were the one-eyed owl and Ken Kaneki. Despite their strength, the Aogiri would undoubtedly fall to the Akatsuki. The powers of the shinobi are just too diverse and destructive, capable of creating the ideal environment to ensure victory.

7 League Of Villains Came Close To Bringing Down All Might (My Hero Academia)

Created by the infamous All-For-One, the League Of Villains was hellbent on destroying the hero society. The group was made up of the strongest villains, including Shigaraki and Kurogiri. Although powerful, the organization failed time and time again to take down All Might —a result of underestimating the hero's willpower.

If up against the Akatsuki, the League Of Villains lacks the depth to compete with the Naruto group. After Shigaraki and All-For-One, the next best villains are a huge step down in power.

6 The Phantom Troupe's Loyalty To Chrollo Was Unmatched (Hunter x Hunter)

Evil, powerful and fiercely loyal to their leader —the Phantom Troupe are the perfect criminal organization. Made up of exceptional nen-users with unique abilities, the Troupe are gifted thieves, stealing only the rarest items in the world. They are led by Chrollo Lucifer, a character who can steal others' abilities.

During their limited screen time, the villains of Hunter X Hunter effortlessly defeated the Mafia, bested a group of Chimera ants, and caused chaos wherever they went. However, whilst nen is diverse, it lacks the raw firepower of some jutsu. This would be a tough win for the Akatsuki.

5 The Homunculi Relied Too Much On Their Near-Invulnerability (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Created by Father, the Homunculi represent the seven deadly sins. They were forged from a philosopher's stone, granting them spectacular abilities and near-immortality. For example, Pride manipulates shadows, Greed hardens his skin to create the perfect shield, and King Bradley is a swordmaster with inhuman speed.

Although strong, they were defeated by the combined efforts of several alchemists, exposing their weaknesses whilst demonstrating the full capabilities of mere mortals. Outnumbered and outgunned, the homunculi would fall to Itachi and co.

4 The Twelve Kizuki Frequently Defeated The Legendary Hashira (Demon Slayer)

The Twelve Kizuki is an organization made up of the twelve most powerful demons selected by the original demon, Muzan Kibutsuji. Filled with the blood of their leader, these demons casually defeat demon slayers, and the service of the mighty Hashira is often needed to dispatch them.

Those of the upper moon rank are especially powerful, killing countless Hashira during their long lives. With their blood demon arts, these evil embodiments would surely trouble the Akatsuki —before eventually losing.

3 Monster Association Have Power In Numbers (One-Punch Man)

Set up to counter the Hero Association, The Monster Association consisted of both weak and strong monsters —all hellbent on defeating any hero they encounter. Initially viewed as an inconvenience because of the weaklings within their ranks, the Monster Association was truly recognized as a genuine threat after some of its strongest members defeated several S-Class heroes.

Under the guidance of their leader, Orochi, the Monster association very nearly succeeded in defeating the heroes. If not for Saitama and a few other S-Class heroes, the Monsters would currently be running things. It would require the full power of the strongest Akatsuki members to deal with such a threat.

2 Millennium Created The Ultimate Vampire Army (Hellsing)

A wickedly evil, over-the-top Nazi organization, Millennium desired world domination and the destruction of the Hellsing organization. After acquiring the essence of Alucard's being, Millenium created its own vampire army to help them defeat the Vampire King.

The top brass of the organization possessed immense intellect and power, The Major combining his brains with The Captain's brawn to very nearly succeed in achieving their global takeover. But, unable to defeat Alucard, the organization wouldn't trouble 10 shinobi with greater power than the original Vampire.

1 The Dark Triad Can Call On The Devil's Power (Black Clover)

The Dark Triad are three devil-possessed mages ruling over the spade kingdom. During their tyrannical rule, the three mages have expanded their territory, wiping out the strongest wizards within the Diamond Kingdom before setting their sights on the neighboring Heart and Clover Kingdom.

Dante possesses inhuman healing abilities, Zenon's bone magic is highly destructible, and Vanica wields curse magic unrivaled by anyone else. They would certainly make the Akatsuki sweat, but likely struggle against Pain, Obito, and Itachi.
