Netflix's Cobra Kai Enters the Action Figure Dojo With Diamond

Cobra Kai fans will now have the chance to own official action figures of their favorite characters.

The Diamond Select Toys 2021 Showcase unveiled a trio of Cobra Kai action figures during its virtual presentation. Among the figures are Johnny Lawrence -- sensei of the Cobra Kai dojo -- and his old high school rival Daniel LaRusso -- the original Karate Kid. Rounding out the trio of figures is Johnny's old sensei John Kreese. Each figure comes with additional hands for karate poses. They retail for $24.99 each and are slated to go on sale this winter.

This is not the first set of action figures to be based on the Karate Kid film franchise. Icon Heroes produced figures of Daniel and Johnny in their Karate Kid-era garb, with an accompanying stop motion short film from Reckless Abandonment Pictures.

Cobra Kai takes place after the events of the original Karate Kid films and finds Johnny Lawrence attempting to straighten his life out by reopening the Cobra Kai dojo -- which puts him into conflict with Johnny and other figures from his past, including Kreese. The show's fourth season is currently in production for Netflix.

Cobra Kai stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo MaridueƱa, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List and Martin Kove. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are currently available to stream on Netflix. Season 4 does not currently have a premiere date.
