Gloxinia was the first king of the Fairy King's forest in The Seven Deadly Sins. After seeing that Stigma had betrayed his people and presumably killed his sister, he decides to join the side of the demons. As one of the Ten Commandments, Gloxinia is cruel and sadistic, taking pleasure in the suffering of others.
This aspect of his personality is why he creates and traps participants in an unnecessary tournament. He eventually has a change of heart, seeing potential in King to eventually surpass him and become the most powerful fairy king. King helps him realize that he had been too hasty in joining the demons, and in the end, he gives his life to protect him.
10 He Has The Same Demon Mark As Meliodas
Due to an animation error, Gloxinia was given the same demon marking that Zeldris and Meliodas have.
Their marking is supposed to be unique to their family line, and each of the Ten Commandments is supposed to have a different tattoo to match their different Commandments. Gloxinia's overall design has been simplified, as the butterfly-winged design on his pants was also changed.
9 He Didn't Expect To Be Attacked During A Tournament
During the Great Fight Festival Arc, Gloxinia and Drole set up a tournament, in which the victor would win anything that they desired. Gloxinia was cruel, going so far as to kill the participants that he thought weren't worthy.
Despite forcing people to fight against their will, he did not expect to be attacked, which was why Escanor was able to catch them off guard. This leads to more people attacking them.
8 He Abandoned His People
After being betrayed by the humans he trusted in, Gloxinia decides that the next best course of action was to join the Demon Army. He was initially part of Stigma, which was the alliance between the Goddess Clan, the Fairy Clan, the Giant Clan, and the humans, who were determined to defeat the Demon Clan.
The humans that were supposed to be watching the forest started killing fairies indiscriminately, so it is odd that he abandoned his people.
7 He Never Realized That Gerheade Survived
Like many other fairies, Gerheade, Gloxinia's sister, was attacked by members of Stigma. Thanks to this, she lost her eye and her legs. When Gloxinia arrives, Gerheade has no strength to tell him that Rou is innocent, and all Gloxinia sees is her injuries and Rou.
He jumps to conclusions and kills Rou, but he never checks to see if Gerheade survived. After that encounter, he lived under the assumption that his sister was dead.
6 He Took A While To Realize Elizabeth Is The Same From 3,000 Years Ago
Gloxinia had an opportunity to see Elizabeth during the tournament that he created. The Elizabeth that he had befriended years ago looks exactly like the Elizabeth he met during the tournament, minus the angel wings.
Her personality had not changed either, as she rushed to heal her opponents immediately after she and Elaine defeated them. Despite being friends and even learning magic from Elizabeth, he doesn't realize it's her until he battles Chandler.
5 He Only Questioned His Decisions After Meeting Meliodas
Gloxinia had some decisions that were morally wrong. He killed a countless number of people and he served the Demon Clan, who had been the enemy of him and his comrades for ages.
After all of this bloodshed, he only starts to regret the things that he's done after he encounters Meliodas, who had been his friend 3,000 years ago. He turns to King, to see if his actions were right, but King proves that he made a mistake in turning to the demons for comfort.
4 He Had Magic To Send People To The Past
The magic to send people to the past is a magic created by the Goddess Clan. The magic is incapable of changing the past, but it allows others to enter the body of someone who existed during a particular time so that they can experience the past themselves.
Gloxinia and Drole learned this magic from the Elizabeth that they met 3,000 years ago. It is odd that Elizabeth taught them that kind of magic, considering it didn't have many purposes in most scenarios.
3 He Told Zeldris That He & Drole Quit Being Commandments
When Zeldris telepathically tries to get in touch with every member of the Ten Commandments, Gloxinia does not hesitate to tell him that he and Drole were no longer interested in being his allies. Thanks to this, their Commandments disappear.
If they wanted to, they could have completely ignored his call, or they could have used their sudden change of heart to their advantage. Instead, they were brutally honest without any care about the consequences.
2 He Tried To Kill Meliodas
Meliodas was one of the few people that Gloxinia remembers fondly. Meliodas was in no way associated with the tragedy that fell upon his forest, yet he was more than happy to see him risk his life as a participant in his death tournament for his own amusement.
Gloxinia even tried to kill Meliodas and appears to feel no pity for his friend even when he is on the brink of death. He expresses his regret later, but after he goes so far as to sever Meliodas' arm.
1 His Commandment Effect Was Never Revealed
Like the other Ten Commandments, Gloxinia has a unique and absolute power that curses people who commit certain acts in front of him. However, his Commandment's power, Repose, was never revealed.
He never explicitly states what kind of cause and effect his Commandment has, and despite siding with King and Diane, he never once thinks to warn them about what could possibly happen if they accidentally make the wrong move.
