George Lucas founded Lucasfilm in 1971 and released its first film, American Graffiti, in 1973. Aside from Star Wars, the company is known for creating the Indiana Jones and Willow film franchises, as well as producing the Marvel Comics film Howard the Duck.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes place between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and follows Jedi warriors Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's adventures during the Clone Wars. The saga started with an animated film of the same name, which led into a TV series. The first five seasons aired on Cartoon Network from 2008 to 2013, with a sixth season streaming on Netflix in 2014. The seventh and final season streamed on Disney+ in 2020.
