10 Wishes Wolverine Would Make On The Dragon Balls | CBR

Wolverine is the best there is at what he does. As one of the X-Men's toughest members, Wolverine has done a lot over the years, fighting all kinds of deadly villains, and joining every major team in the Marvel Universe. He's also been through a lot of changes over the years, becoming a better hero and person.

However, that doesn't mean he hasn't made a lot of mistakes, ones that he would have rather not happened. Given a chance, like if he had the legendary Dragon Balls of Dragon Ball fame, there are lots of things he would change.

10 He Would Wish To End The Holocaust

Wolverine fought in World War II, battling the Nazis as part of the Canadian army. Now, Wolverine knows that messing with the timestream too much can be disastrous, a lesson he learned in Age Of Ultron. Therefore, he wouldn't completely wish away the war—no WWII means no Cap and that would also have its consequences—but he would do something for the Nazi's victims.

Wolverine would wish to liberate the camps, getting all of the Jews, Romani, and LGBTQ+ victims out of the path of the Germans in some way. It wouldn't be the first time Wolverine tried to help victims of the concentration camps, and it would do the most good.

9 He Would Wish He Never Killed Rose

One of the earliest tragedies of Wolverine's life involves the first woman he ever loved, a woman named Rose. He and Rose ran off together after his powers manifested, when he accidentally killed his family in his first berzerker rage. Rose was killed by him when he fought his brother Dog, another accidental death on his conscience.

If he had the Dragon Balls, Wolverine would wish that she never died at his hands. Wolverine has a lot of blood on his hands and Rose didn't deserve what happened to her.

8 He Would Wish He Never Had To Kill Mariko Yashida

Wolverine has been in a lot of relationships over the years but one of his greatest was with Mariko Yashida. The two were almost married and had a deep love for each other. She led her clan's Yakuza family and was poisoned in a negotiation with Matsuo Tsurayaba. Not wanting a painful death, she asked her beloved to kill her and he obliged.

With the Dragon Balls, Wolverine would prevent this, whether it be by preventing the poisoning or immediately resurrecting her after the event. There are many options and roads he could take with this one, but all would end with him not having to kill or lose her forever.

7 He Would Wish The Genoshan Genocide Never Happened

The day Genosha was destroyed was one of the worst days in mutant history—sixteen million mutants were gone in an instant. This event would have grave repercussions for mutantkind and all involved, a terrible loss of life. While Wolverine didn't know any of them personally, that doesn't mean he wouldn't do anything about it.

Making a wish on the Dragon Balls, Wolverine would prevent that terrible day from ever happening, destroying the Mega-Sentinels before they could get to the island nation and saving millions of lives.

6 He Would Wish Scarlet Witch Never Depowered Mutants

Another terrible day for the mutant race was M-Day—the day Scarlet Witch uttered the fateful words, "No more mutants." The vast majority of the mutant race, who up to that point had been becoming ascendant, lost their powers, completely changing the balance of power in the world and resulting in mutants being in more danger than usual.

Wolverine would use the Dragon Balls to make sure this never happened. M-Day was one of the greatest blows to mutantkind and Wolverine could save his people many trials and tribulations by stopping it before it happened.

5 He Would Wish For The Innocent People He Killed To Be Brought Back To Life

Wolverine was transformed into a weapon by the Weapon Plus program and did a lot of very bad things over the years. There were times when his targets were innocent people and he killed them. At the time, this didn't bother him but since becoming a hero, this sort of thing has definitely messed with him.

One thing that Wolverine would definitely wish is for all of those people to be brought back to life. Wolverine has a lot of guilt over the things he's done and a way to end that feeling would be to wish them all back to life.

4 He Would Wish Daken Had A Better Life

For a long time, Wolverine and his son Daken were bitter enemies. Daken's mother was killed by the Winter Soldier because of Wolverine, who he thought abandoned him. Wolverine, however, thought Daken was dead as well. This misunderstanding had terrible repercussions for both of them and while their relationship is better now, Wolverine would rather his son have not suffered so much.

Using the Dragon Balls, Wolverine could easily wish that his son had a better life, one where he wouldn't have had to endure hardship. This could have fixed their relationship and saved Daken a lot of pain.

3 He Would Wish For Sabretooth To Be Taken Care Of

Wolverine and Sabretooth's rivalry is long and full of all kinds of terrible acts. While Wolverine doesn't mind all the fights and the wounds to himself, Sabretooth has a tendency to target those closest to him as well, making the whole rivalry a problem not just for Wolverine but everyone he cares about.

Using the Dragon Balls, Wolverine would wish for Sabretooth to be taken out of his life somehow, whether it be killing him outright, erasing him from history, or some other general way of preventing Sabretooth from having such a negative effect on the lives of everyone around Wolverine.

2 He Would Wish For Krakoa To Be Established As A Mutant Nation Sooner

One of the best thing to happen to the mutant race in recent years is the founding of the mutant nation of Krakoa. It's also been a boon to Wolverine himself—he feels like he has a home, something to fight for and a place where people like him could be happy. Wolverine loves Krakoa and its people and would do anything to protect it.

Wolverine would most definitely wish for Krakoa to be established sooner. Its existence has made the lives of mutants easier and it's led to things, like resurrection, that have made the mutant race safer than it ever was before.

1 He Would Wish For The World To Stop Hating Mutants

Wolverine has long been one of the most dedicated X-Men. He's all about making sure that mutants have a home, one where they can feel safe. Krakoa is all well and good but it hasn't stopped humanity from hating mutants—and in a lot of ways, it's made that hatred worse. Mutants are still in danger, but they just have a modicum of safety.

Wolverine would want to erase that threat and the best way would be to end humanity's hatred of mutantkind. He would certainly use the Dragon Balls to make this wish come true, erasing the greatest danger to mutantkind.
