Non-Stop Spider-Man is about to have its title tested.
The ancillary Spider-Man title will see its next three issues being pushed back a month. Non-Stop Spider-Man #3, which was scheduled to go on sale on May 12, will now hit stands on June 2. Non-Stop Spider-Man #4 has a new release date of July 7, while #5 will go on sale on Aug. 4. Marvel has not issued an statement explaining the changes in scheduling.
This is not the first setback the series has suffered. The debut issue of Non-Stop Spider-Man was put on hold along with Marvel's other comics due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While Non-Stop Spider-Man was rescheduled for a Jan. 2021 release date, it did not go on sale until March 10. The first two issues are currently available to purchase.
Non-Stop Spider-Man has sent Peter Parker after a new gang of criminals following the death of one of his classmates. The criminals are trafficking a drug that increases brainpower -- and said drug is tied to the nefarious Baron Zemo, who is muscling his way into a Hydra sect that developed the drug. True to its name, Non-Stop Spider-Man features the web-slinger engaging in massive fights every issue, with the pacing and structure of the comic similar to action films such as Speed or Crank.
The official synopsis for Non-Stop Spider-Man #3 reads:
Something is happening to the brightest young minds in New York City, and Spider-Man has found himself in the middle of it. This story is going to show you a side of Peter Parker that neither you nor Peter thought existed. And neither of you will be able to handle it.
Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Chris Bachalo, Non-Stop Spider-Man #3 goes on sale on June 2 from Marvel.
