Paramount's PAW Patrol Film Debuts First Images Ahead of Trailer

Paramount Pictures released its first look photos from PAW Patrol: The Movie.

The series of photos include a variety of familiar PAW Patrol faces, including Chase and Marshall, as well as a handful of new human and animal faces. One image, in particular, shows Chase in a hilarious face-off with a man inside a truck. Meanwhile, a second shot shows a dachshund pup standing outside of what appears to be a big event in the middle of a city.

Fans also saw a sneak peek at Yara Shahidi's character Kendra Wilson, who is described as a "brilliant engineer behind the designs of some of the pup's newest gadgets and gear."

Following the release of the photos online, Kim Kardashian reposted the image of her new character, a white poodle named Delores, to her Instagram story, writing, "Say hi to Delores." Kardashian also shared some photos of herself recording audio for the film inside what appears to be a recording studio sound booth.

The PAW Patrol series premiered on Nickelodeon in 2013 and currently airs in more than 160 countries and in 30 languages. The animated series is currently in its seventh season and was recently renewed for an eighth season. In October 2020, it was confirmed that production on the film had already begun, with creators confirming that the artists and producers were collaborating remotely during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The official synopsis for PAW Patrol: The Movie reads,

The PAW Patrol is on a roll! When their biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc, Ryder and everyone’s favorite heroic pups kick into high gear to face the challenge head on. While one pup must face his past in Adventure City, the team finds help from a new ally, the savvy dachshund Liberty. Together, armed with exciting new gadgets and gear, the PAW Patrol fights to save the citizens of Adventure City! Joining the PAW Patrol in their thrilling first big screen adventure are members from the original series’ cast along with Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi, Kim Kardashian West, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, with Tyler Perry and Jimmy Kimmel and introducing Will Brisbin.

Directed by Cal Brunker, PAW Patrol: The Movie features the voices of Jimmy Kimmel, Kim Kardashian, Tyler Perry, Dax Shepard, Randall Park, Yara Shahidi, Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin and Will Brisbin. The film is set for theatrical release on Aug. 20.
