A sweet ex-gang member and a gentle psychic are the best friends anyone could ask for.

Hak is Yona's childhood friend and bodyguard when tragedy strikes her family and they're forced to leave. They support each other through this nebulous time, dealing with their friend Su-won's betrayal as a budding romance slowly blooms between them.
While they clash at times — usually when Hak teases her — it's obvious that their affection for each other always comes first and can't be easily broken. Hak teaches Yona how to fight during their travels, and though reluctant at first to let her engage in direct combat, he eventually relents when he sees how determined and strong Yona has become.

At the start of Maid Sama!, Misaki can barely stand Usui. She has a terrible concept of him, thinking him lazy and promiscuous for his flirtatious behavior, but as they get closer and Usui opens up to her, their confrontations transform into entertaining, playful banter.
Misaki and Usui have off-the-charts chemistry together, and their constant comedic interactions are at the center of their romance as the story progresses. They're one of the most compelling duos to watch for sure, especially when either of them gets flustered.

Suna in particular has great affection for Takeo and has rejected every girl that has ever confessed to him because they've badmouthed his best friend in one way or the other. When Takeo eventually starts dating Rinko, Suna is there to help him out and support him through his new relationship.
3 Kyo & Yuki's Rivalry Is One For The Ages (Fruits Basket)
Yuki and Kyo's rivalry is based on their mutual respect and admiration for each other, a fact that both hide beneath their combative exteriors with harsh words and the occasional fight. Their cat and mouse dynamic — pun intended — provides some of the best comedic moments in Fruits Basket as well as some of the most heartfelt once they allow themselves to be honest with each other.
Kyo constantly pushes Yuki to show his unprincely side, and Yuki helps Kyo realize how important he is to Tohru. All in all, whenever there's a scene of them together, fans know they're in for a rollercoaster of emotions.

Not even magic can separate Tomoyo and Sakura. When the latter obtained the Clow Cards, Tomoyo was ready to support her best friend with everything she had, and by "everything" she meant countless outfits and short movies of Sakura's exploits as the Cardcaptor.

Ouran High School Host Club is full of unique character relationships, but none is as iconic as Honey and Mori, the third-year members of the Host Club. They are as different as they can be — one is short, childish, and talkative, and the other is tall, taciturn, and quiet — but they make it work quite well.
In Honey and Mori's case, being opposites is a blessing for their friendship. As the oldest members of the club, they watch over the younger ones and provide support whenever needed, but that doesn't stop them from having important moments of their own from time to time. Mori probably still can't forgive himself for letting Honey eat so much cake, but it's not like he's going to deny him either.
