Black Widow and her makeshift family take a chance in a new promo for the upcoming Marvel Studios film.
The promo begins with a shot of Natasha Romanoff standing in a field surrounded by debris. This and subsequent scenes are accompanied by a voiceover from Natasha. "We all have secrets," she says. "At some point, we all have to choose between what the world wants you to be and who you are."
Viewers are also treated to such scenes as Red Guardian telling Natasha that the rest of the family fights with her and Taskmaster coming at Natasha with a sword. Meanwhile, text reading "Face the past" and "Reveal the future" flashes across the screen.
After a shot of the movie's title card, the promo ends with Natasha asking Yelena Belova if she's OK, to which Yelena sarcastically responds, "Yeah, great plan. I love the part where I almost bled to death."
In Marvel Studios' action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, O-T Fagbenle as Mason and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff. The film arrives in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access July 9.
