Witcher Con Promo's 'Top Secret' Images Unveiled | CBR

Netflix and CD Projekt Red recently released a promotional clip teasing everything that fans can expect to see in the first ever Witcher Con this July. The clip included pixelated images labeled "top secret." Fans have already unlocked the promo's secrets.

Comparison images have begun to circulate online, stemming from fans who recognized familiar shapes and figures in the pixelated images. Some of the pixelated images included in the promo have been revealed to be screenshots and trailer stills from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's marketing.

The Witcher Con promotional clip for the July 9 event, the first Witcher Con, teased events and games for fans of both the video games and Netflix's live-action adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels. It is expected that CD Projekt Red, which confirmed that there will be no announcements for a new Witcher game, will provide news on its existing mobile projects, including Gwent and its AR mobile game The Witcher: Monster Slayer. Meanwhile, Netflix is expected to provide news on all of its projects, including a trailer for Season 2 of The Witcher as well as updates on the anime tie-in The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and the prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin.

The event was announced shortly after Geeked Week. While fans expected that Netflix would release its trailer during the week-long event, The Witcher Season 2 saw only a brief 10-second clip hinting at Ciri's journey. A similar clip was released shortly after, this time centerd on Geralt of Rivia. It is expected that Netflix will release at least one more clip, this time centered on Yennefer of Vengerberg, whose fate directly following the Season 1 finale remains largely a mystery.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is now available on Netflix. No release date for Season 2 has yet been announced.
