Dead or Alive's fan favorite characters are joining the roster of the popular mobile action RPG The King of Fighters AllStar this summer.
It has been three years since the initial launch of Netmarble's The King of Fighters AllStar. To celebrate, the developer has announced a special crossover with Dead or Alive 6, the most recent release in Koei Temco's Dead or Alive fighting game franchise. The update will be available July 29 and see Dead or Alive's Honoka, Kasumi, Marie Rose and Nyontengu get in on the fight. Preregistration for the anniversary event is already underway and players who preregister will receive a coupon that can be exchanged for 3,000 rubies at launch.
The anniversary crossover will feature an exclusive new collaborative storyline and dungeon featuring the Dead or Alive characters. Players will have the opportunity to obtain Honoka and Marie Rose for free by completing the collaboration's Summon Carnival Event and specific event mission respectively. The crossover will include many other rewards and collectables such as special swimsuit-themed skins, labeled as "Angel of Paradise" variants for the Dead or Alive characters.
This is not the first time Netmarble has collaborated with fighting games. In 2019, The King of Fighters AllStar did a crossover with Bandai Namco's Tekken 7. Other crossovers involved the likes of Nakaba Suzuki's The Seven Deadly Sins and even the WWE.
Currently, there is no specific information available on how players will be able to collect Kasumi and Nyotengu; however, more details about the anniversary crossover will likely be revealed closer to the July 29 launch date.
