Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto is a classic shonen action story starring Naruto Uzumaki, who is famed for being tough, blunt, stubborn, and good-hearted - all the qualities necessary for a legendary shonen star. Naruto is determined to prove himself to his village and his friends, and that attitude, combined with his fighting style, means he would enjoy living in other shonen series.
However, the world of anime is a big one, covering an impressive variety of genres and themes, and Naruto would like some of them more than others. Ideally, Naruto could visit another anime world fairly similar to his own, while he would get a real headache in anime worlds where the rules are totally different. It's time for Naruto to cruise the world of anime for a new home.
10 WOULD THRIVE: My Hero Academia Is A Story Of Heroes Fighting True Evil
Naruto Uzumaki isn't literally a hero by profession, but for all intents and purposes, he is one. As a ninja, Naruto is expected to live a gritty and bloody lifestyle, but in practice, he will always fight for the sake of justice and peace, not just to spy on or assassinate the Leaf Village's enemies.
Naruto is a heroic shinobi, and that means he would have little trouble getting used to My Hero Academia's world, complete with Quirks that are rather like jutsu at times. He would be delighted to meet Izuku Midoriya, in particular.
9 WOULD SUFFER: Naruto Would Be Overwhelmed By Attack On Titan's Politics & Schemes
When this series first started, it was all about humanity's desperate bid for survival against the mysterious Titans, a threat the likes of which Naruto has never seen before. Jutsu can only go so far against such a threat, and Naruto would face certain despair in this world. Then things would get even worse.
Naruto would get a real headache when the Marley Empire arrives, and the web of politics and schemes would overwhelm him. There's the Yeagerists on one side, the Marley Empire on another, then Zeke Yeager, and much more. No one is completely right or wrong, and Naruto wouldn't know whose side to take, or why.
8 WOULD THRIVE: The World Of One Piece Would Enable Naruto's Reckless Heroism
This long-running pirate anime show is quite similar to Naruto and is usually considered a counterpart. If Naruto somehow ended up here, he wouldn't need long to get used to all the pirates, diverse Devil Fruits, and the presence of the Marines.
All this would feel roughly similar to what Naruto left behind, and he would begin his Luffy-style quest to see the world and fight evil wherever he saw it. Villains such as Captain Blackbeard and Donquixote Doflamingo would feel similar to the likes of Pain and Orochimaru, and Naruto would be more than ready to challenge them for the sake of justice and peace.
7 WOULD SUFFER: Death Note's Battle Of Wits Wouldn't Suit Him
Although Death Note is a shonen manga series, it is a totally different animal from Naruto or My Hero Academia. Here, battles are fought not with jutsu or Quirks, but with wits and real-life resources such as the police, FBI agents, spy cameras, and more.
Naruto wouldn't dislike modern-day Japan, but he would greatly fear and dislike the ruthless Kira, and he would be powerless to stop Kira. Naruto would be terribly frustrated just watching the Kira-vs-L battle on the sidelines like that.
6 WOULD THRIVE: Fairy Tail Is A Story Of Fantasy Action & Power Of Friendship
This particular shonen action series is notorious for relying heavily on the "power of friendship" to save the day. Naruto isn't about to criticize Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia for fighting so hard for their friends for this, though. He feels the same way, after all.
Naruto and Natsu would get along great, and this series' magic system is reasonably similar to chakra and jutsu, so Naruto would adjust without much trouble. He would probably join the Fairy Tail guild himself and have wild adventures (and fights) all over the nation of Fiore with his new pals.
5 WOULD SUFFER: Naruto Would Loathe The Blood, Misery & Brutality Of Berserk
While it's true that Naruto's powerful jutsu would keep him safe from ordinary knights and bandits in Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy world, he would have a terrible time here otherwise, mostly on a mental level. Naruto would see endless suffering, misery, and pain, and he has no means of curing it.
Even in his own idealistic world, Naruto had a tough time bringing about peace and defeating evil. Here, Naruto's quest would become downright impossible, and he'd fail to convince any kings, nobles, or knight captains to hear his message of peace and unity. This world would reject Naruto on a philosophical level, and that would weigh heavily on him.
4 WOULD THRIVE: The Seven Deadly Sins Needs Fantasy Heroes Like Naruto Uzumaki
This is yet another fantasy shonen series where the fundamental rules and world-building are fairly similar to those of the Naruto franchise, so Naruto won't experience much culture shock if he somehow ended up here. He would actually find this world charming and exciting.
Naruto would be comfortable with this franchise's fairly straightforward rules of good vs evil, and he would have no trouble identifying the greatest villains and challenging them to a fight. A solid Rasengan ought to take those demons down nice and easy.
3 WOULD SUFFER: Dr. Stone Is No Place For Naruto's Talents
This isekai series is another example of Naruto needing more than his personal safety to be happy. No one in the future stone age could challenge him in battle, but Naruto still wouldn't be happy. Why not? For one thing, he can contribute very little to the Kingdom of Science aside from guard duty.
All the attention is on science and discovery, and while Naruto doesn't dislike such things, they are beyond the scope of his interests and skills. Naruto would also complain endlessly about the lack of modern amenities, from grocery stores to air conditioning and ramen shops. This stone world is way too limited.
2 WOULD THRIVE: Avatar: The Last Airbender Has Room For Heroes Like Naruto
The elemental bending system of this franchise is loosely similar to jutsu, and in fact, the chakra system of Naruto is also based on the four Greek elements, with the addition of lightning. So, this world's combat system would be intuitive for Naruto, and he has the power to challenge any bender.
Better yet, this franchise's Asian-inspired setting would feel like home for Naruto, and during the Hundred-Year War, there is a dire need for mighty heroes like Naruto to save the day. That's exactly what he has been waiting for.
1 WOULD SUFFER: Naruto Doesn't Want To Study In The Quintessential Quintuplets
Ideally, Naruto would rather visit another shonen action franchise, though he would find plenty to like about real-life Japan, too. However, while Naruto would enjoy modern entertainment and amenities, he is not in the mood to sit down and study for hours on end.
In this anime series, the five Nakano sisters have Futaro Uesugi as their tutor, and they had better hit the books, or else. If Naruto ended up in that study gang, he would be miserable. Algebra isn't exactly his forte.
