10 Dirtiest Pokémon, Ranked | CBR

There is a wide variety of Pokémon in the Pokémon series that are known for their cleanliness. Some Pokémon, such as Lickitung, Minccino, and Corsola, thrive in cleaner environments or will participate in cleanup duty themselves.

However, there are some Pokémon that tend to wind up on the nastier end of the cleanliness spectrum, and some of those Pokémon thrive in such unsanitary environments. From Gastrodon oozing its liquid everywhere it goes to Garbodor being the ultimate trash-oriented Pokémon, these Pokémon are not afraid to get down and dirty when they need to, whether it's in or out of battle.

10 Gastrodon Leaves Sticky Ooze Wherever It Travels

Gastrodon, despite being a Water-type Pokémon, is quite dirty. Wherever it travels, especially when going on dry land, it likes to leave a sticky ooze wherever it went. This part of it is especially emphasized in the Pokémon Ranger game series, since stepping in its ooze could damage the player's stylus. However, this oozy aspect of Gastrodon is less emphasized in the actual anime itself. Additionally, one of Gastrodon's moves is Muddy Water, which is similar Surf, but the waves are made of dirty water.

9 Rattata Lives In Dirty Places Without Any Concern

Rattata is often depicted to live in the streets or the wild, in both the anime and the games. This is because Rattata is so adaptable that it can live in any dirty area without concerns at all, unlike Pokémon such as Minccino and Lickitung, who would rather clean anything dirty in sight. Considering how they can be seen as the Pokémon equivalent of real-life street rats, it makes sense that Rattata would thrive in dirty environments instead of clean ones.

8 Magikarp Can Endure The Harsh Conditions Of A Dirty Aquatic Environment

Magikarp is often looked down on as being a super weak Pokémon, but it can surprisingly survive in dirty aquatic environments.

This greatly differs from other Water-type Pokémon such as Corsola, who will start deteriorating if it spends too much time in contaminated water. For trainers who often travel through harsher environments, Magikarp makes a great companion who is willing to stick around even in those tough conditions.

7 Corphish Will Thrive In Any Water, No Matter How Dirty It Is

Corphish might not seem like a dirty Pokémon from its appearance, but it will actually thrive in any water regardless of how clean it is. Even if the water is dirty, Corphish will simply adapt and live its best life there. Unlike other Pokémon that require cleaner waters to survive in, Corphish is perfectly fine with swimming in muddy water, much like Magikarp. This might seem disgusting to some trainers, but others will appreciate Corphish for its adaptability to different conditions in its habitat.

6 Koffing Is Made Up Of Toxic Gases & Garbage

Koffing is well-known as one of the Pokémon that James from Team Rocket uses early in the anime. However, it also stores several toxic gases in its own body and can be prone to exploding without warning. Not only is it dirty due to all the poisonous gas it embodies, but it is also very dangerous when it comes to public health. Additionally, it mixes those gases with raw garbage and will deliberately float into garbage dumps to get the garbage it needs.

5 Weezing Loves Residing In Dirty Households

Weezing can grow by absorbing dust, germs, and poison gases contained in toxic waste and garbage. Despite the awesome hat that it wears in its Galarian form, Weezing is definitely dirty and will enjoy raiding the kitchen trash while everyone else is asleep.

Weezing is a Pokémon that should be avoided at all costs, since it is also made up of trash, gas, and germs like Koffing is.

4 Grimer Will Consume Sludge From Factories

Grimer often appears in filthy areas. This Pokémon will also consume the sludge that is pumped out from factories. It is so putrid to touch that even weeds will not grow in its path, and it will enter sewer pipes to drink the filthy water there. On top of all that, its stench is also quite unbearable.

3 Muk's Stench Resembles Kitchen Garbage

Muk, the evolution of Grimer, resembles a pile of sludge and is also extremely smelly. It is so toxic that its footprints contain poison.

Additionally, Muk loves to gather in the smelliest environments such as garbage dumps, collectively making the stench even worse. To make things worse, the toxic substances in its body will intensify in the summer from the heat. Many trainers refuse to use this Pokémon based on its smelliness alone.

2 Trubbish Is The Trash Bag Pokémon

Trubbish is known as the Trash Bag Pokémon. Trubbish will follow around anyone who litters, and it prefers to live in unsanitary places. Additionally, Trubbish will snack on trash until its stomach is full, before belching gas so toxic that it could potentially hospitalize anyone who takes a whiff of it. Not only is Trubbish a literal embodiment of trash, but it is also dangerous like Weezing. However, its evolution, Garbodor, is much more dangerous.

1 Garbodor, Trubbish's Evolution, Is The Ultimate Trash Pokémon

Garbodor, the evolution of Trubbish, is an even bigger trash bag Pokémon that is well-known for being part of Oleana's team of Pokémon in the games. It can absorb garbage right into its body, spray poison from its right arm, and belch up liquid gas. This makes it a toxic and dangerous threat much like Weezing and Koffing. It should be avoided by germophobes or anyone who doesn't want to be reminded of the garbage they took out the other day.
