Batman #112 Puts the Dark Knight Under Scarecrow's Menacing Influence (Exclusive)

DC's upcoming Fear State event will see Scarecrow continue terrorizing Gotham City across DC's Batman Family of titles this fall. While the Dark Knight has been busy dealing with the villain's schemes, he is about to succumb to Scarecrow's menacing influence.

CBR has the exclusive first look at Batman #112 by James Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez, part of DC's Fear State. The pages feature Batman tripping hard on Scarecrow gas, as he hallucinates visions of a massive Scarecrow towering over his frightened body. Images of the Dark Knight attempting to escape are also intertwined with these hallucinations.

We also get to see Simon Saint, who has been working in secret with Scarecrow. Saint is shown tinkering with his latest technological creation. The new character is responsible for coming up with the idea of Gotham being controlled and protected by the Magistrate and Peacekeepers, who all played a major role in Future State. The final two pages give a better look at Scarecrow's redesign by Jorge Jimenez as he attacks a motorist and looks over Gotham City from a perching gargoyle statue.
