A behind-the-scenes photo from The CW's Batwoman shows stars Javicia Leslie and Camrus Johnson standing together as Gotham's protectors.
The photo features the two actors and sees them both in the Batcave, in their super-suits as Batwoman and Batwing. Johnson's wrote, "Bats in the cave," while Leslie captioned her image by writing, "May this ignite fearlessness in every child’s dream!"
Leslie joined the cast of Batwoman at the start of Season 2 after previous star Ruby Rose stepped down from the role of Kate Kane. Leslie now leads the cast as Ryan Wilder, an ex-con trying to find her place in the world who takes up the mantle of Batwoman to protect Gotham City and find her foster mother's killer. Johnson has played Bat-ally and tech expert Luke Fox since the show's beginning. He got a heroic identity all his own in the Season 2 finale as the armored crimefighter Batwing.
The upcoming third season of Batwoman is set to premier Oct. 13. New cast members include Robin Givens as Jada Jet, the powerful CEO of Jet Industries who may have a connection to Ryan's past, and Nick Creegan as Marquis Jet, her reckless playboy son. In addition, Victoria Cartagena will join the cast as Renee Montoya, a role she previously played in the first season of Fox's Gotham.
