Castlevania: 10 Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off | CBR

Now that the fourth and final season of Netflix's Castlevania has come and gone, fans have been left wanting more despite the great ending they were given. There are different ways in which a spin-off series could be initiated, with multiple characters deserving of more screen time, whether it be in the form of a flashback or following their future plans after the events of Castlevania.

Some of the characters most deserving of a spin-off were certainly considered to be main characters, but there are also some side characters and supporting players that could use the extra time in the spotlight.

*Warning: This list contains spoilers for the Castlevania series on Netflix

10 Godbrand Was A Chaotic & Bloodthirsty Vampire & A Prequel Spin-Off Series With Him Would Certainly Be Eventful

The chaotic vampire arguably deserved everything he got at the hands of Isaac, after conspiring with Carmilla to overthrow and betray Dracula, but he was a funny character nonetheless. He lacked the brains to make him a player in the power struggle among vampires, and his main desire was to live like a proper vampire, hunting and feeding.

Obviously, this would have to be a prequel series, given the events that transpired, but a delve into Godbrand's history could be an entertaining look into the life of an active vampire that's always fighting.

9 Morana & Striga Abandoned Their Home & Their Resulting Adventures Could Warrant A Spin-Off Series

At the end of the fourth and final season of Castlevania, when Isaac and his night creatures infiltrated the castle, all hell broke loose. As Morana and Striga approached the castle, they could sense Carmilla's death, as she had in fact just killed herself after essentially losing a battle with Isaac and his hordes.

The two decided to desert their home and the rest of their family to go and experience the world together. Their journey could make for an interesting spin-off series, to see the state of a world where many of the major bloodthirsty grudge-holding vampires are no more.

8 Trevor & Sypha's Unborn Child Has Potential For Having his Own Series

With the news at the end of the fourth season that Sypha is pregnant, the prospect of a spin-off series in the future, following Sypha and Trevor's child, is an intriguing idea.

Their child is believed to be Simon Belmont, the main protagonist in several of the Castlevania games, so him starring in a spin-off series seems the most likely out of any possibilities for such a continuation of the franchise. He would take up Trevor's mantle of hunting monsters, utilizing the vampire killer weapon.

7 The Captain That Stood Up To Isaac & Ultimately Gained His Respect Deserves More Screen time

During Isaac's bloodthirsty quest for power, revenge, and purpose, he reaches a stage where he knows he can no longer trust the word of humans. However, when devoid of any alternatives when needing passage to Genoa, he meets a Captain who instantly antagonizes and bargains with Isaac.

The Captain talks Isaac out of killing everyone and instead ends the negotiations with his life intact but also with a new bunch of guests and crewmates, not to mention the prospect of payment. This is a testament to the Captain's charisma and a spin-off for the character voiced by Lance Reddick could be an interesting take on this war-torn world.

6 Vlad & Lisa Tepes' New Peaceful Life Together Would Certainly Be A Change Of Pace

The final scene of the entire Castlevania series shows Vlad and Lisa Tepes, roaming free in the world, but most notably, being alive. While Dracula now has all he ever wanted, he has no reason to be his old vampire self anymore, as he has the woman that he loves with him once again.

A spin-off with these two living a normal life wouldn't be as compelling or enthralling as the main series, and could potentially tarnish the lovely peaceful ending they were given, but revisiting their joint learning of new things and exploring Dracula living a human life are still intriguing concepts.

5 A Prequel Series On Saint Germain's Life Is An Intriguing Idea

Voiced by the great Bill Nighy, Saint Germain was a captivating character. While his status as both good guy and bad guy seemed to fluctuate often, his personality still remained and he certainly wasn't a boring character. While there were several portions of episodes dedicated to showing his past and the motives for his actions, fans still wouldn't be against seeing more of this.

He oozed charisma and the chances are that he lived an eventful life, aside from everything revealed in the main Castlevania series, so why not show that in its own series.

4 Hector's Life & Writings About The Beauty Of Vampires Could Translate Into A New Series

Having lived a life filled mostly with torment, Hector has a peaceful moment in the sunrise at the end of Castlevania, following Lenore's suicide. Hector had naively hoped that despite being imprisoned, Lenore would agree to live with him, but she couldn't agree with the terms of this new world.

It's not certain where this would leave Hector emotionally, but with nothing left to do, he would probably move away, prompting potential for new discoveries and experiences. It's hard to see what exactly that would entail, but considering he had been held captive for most of his life, both metaphorically and literally, he would likely just try to live his life, and finish writing that book.

3 Isaac's Character Arc Could Be Developed Further In The Direct Aftermath Of Previous Events

Over the course of Castlevania, Isaac goes on quite the journey, being driven by pretty much every single possible emotion at different points. Having successfully taken over Carmilla's castle in Styria, it is unclear how Isaac would likely proceed next.

By the end of the series, he has arguably had his closure, ultimately deciding that there is more to life than Dracula, deciding not to help in bringing him back. He had lived so long blindly following and obeying Dracula, that he had missed out on so much, which is likely what a spin-off series with him would focus on.

2 Alucard's New Life & Community Could Easily Be The Centerpiece Of A New Series

Assuming that Trevor and Sypha would eventually part ways with Alucard to raise their expected child, Alucard would be left at his father's old castle, the site of their new community.

A spin-off series focusing on him and Greta building a life together while advancing their new settlement would be an interesting change of dynamic, but wouldn't necessarily be ruling out drama, despite the peaceful ending everyone had to the main Castlevania series. Just as Dracula was trying to integrate into human society at the end, Alucard would do the same.

1 Trevor & Sypha's Adventures Could Continue With Their Duo Becoming A Trio

The most obvious spin-off idea but also the least likely to happen, Trevor and Sypha were viewed as the main protagonists from the very beginning. To see their entire journey end with them reunited, happy and in love, with a baby on the way, after all the toil and hardship they had been through, is a perfect ending to their story.

It doesn't necessarily mean that it's the end of their adventures, just the end of their adventures with it being just the two of them. A spin-off could still happen, as it had been previously implied that they both couldn't resist the prospect of danger and excitement. Their joint venture could yet continue, just with a child tagging along.
