Legend Of Korra: Bolin's Funniest Quotes, Ranked | CBR

Bolin was the first friend Korra made in Republic City. She met him in in the Pro-bending arena, and after seeing his character, it was easy for fans to love him. Over the course of the show, Bolin had a lot of crazy moments, some of which involved him running his mouth at the absolute worst times.

Besides being an incredibly proficient fighter, Bolin tends to be goofy. This typically results in some of the most funny moments in the series and fans can only thank Bolin for making the show more lighthearted. Being the funny guy that he is, he always knew how to water-down serious situations.

10 "Don't Think, Just Go."

This type of quote should be expected from someone as goofy as Bolin. During a stakeout, he played Pai Sho with Asami to pass the time. Being somewhat like chess, the game requires a whole lot of tactical moves and a player has to be really careful and thoughtful - but not Bolin. Bolin urged Asami to hurry it up, claiming that the game was a "fast-paced, edge of your seat game of chance." Quite surprisingly, Bolin was half right as the rule book confirmed that the game was of both strategy and chance.

9 "Well Drift Back! We Need You!"

Team Avatar had prepared to set off for Ba Sing Se in search of more airbenders, save for Mako who opted to stay behind. Bolin urged him to come with them to see where their dad grew up, but Mako refused, stating that he felt he'd been drifting apart from every one. Bolin took it literally as asked him to "drift" back - like it was as simple as that. After hilariously demonstrating how their grandma would feel if Mako didn't show up, Mako had no choice but to tag along.

8 "You're Not My Brother, You're A Brother Betrayer!"

It turned out Bolin is as softhearted as he looks when he saw Mako and Korra kissing at the end of their Pro-bending match. Bolin, who had set his heart on Korra, had his heart smashed into a million pieces, and by his brother of all people. Bolin proceeded to eat his way into a stupor while wallowing in grief.

Mako came to get him when they had a match coming up, but Bolin sternly refused, stating that Mako was no longer his brother but a brother betrayer. While it was easy to sympathize with Bolin, his demeanor made it equally easy to laugh at his situation.

7 "Don't Be Nervous, You're Gonna Do Great! I Believe In You!"

Hearing this, one would think Bolin was trying to get his team fired up for the match to come. It was quite hilarious to find out that he was talking to his pet ferret, Pabu, who had a little presentation for the games. This was the final match of the Pro-bending Championship and the Fire Ferrets were all pumped up and ready to fight. It was nice to see that Pabu was going to get a bit of the spotlight during the finals.

6 "North Is My Favorite Direction."

Bolin never ceases to make fans giggle with his terrible pick-up lines. It was a similar scenario with Korra and Ginger. In this case, he was attempting to strike up a conversation with Eska, the princess of the Northern Water Tribe. Bolin is terrible at making new female friends but fortunately (0r unfortunately) for him, his weird pick-up lines worked on a weird person. Before long, Bolin found himself stuck in a relationship he would do anything to get away from.

5 "At Least You Unlocked Your Airbending."

Speaking of opening his mouth at the absolute worst times, this scenario was one of those times. Korra had just finished defeating Amon but not before he'd taken her bending. Luckily for Korra, she hadn't unlocked her airbending at the time, so when it clicked, she used this newfound power to blast Amon out of the Arena.

While lamenting her predicament as others tried to console her, Bolin figured that the best thing to say was "at least you unlocked your airbending." Mako had to call him to order, telling him that it was the wrong time to say that.

4 "That's Awesome-ly Not Good For Us."

When Korra was abducted by the Red Lotus, those who went to get her back were stopped in their tracks by the forces of Zaofu. This was a harrowing battle featuring the best of the best benders. When trapped by the metalbenders, Ghazan of the Red Lotus simply melted the ground along with the metal. Bolin was excited to see such an ability, but somewhere along the line while he was complementing Ghazan, his brain must've realized the trouble they were in, because just before he could finish stating how awesome the ability was, he quickly added "not good for us."

3 "Keep Going, I Enjoy Praise."

After winning their semi-finals match, Korra tended to Bolin's wound. While treating him, she apologized for breaking his heart. As she recalled all the beautiful moments she had with Bolin, she stated that he was one of a kind. Feeling flattered, Bolin urged Korra to continue saying nice things about him as he enjoyed being praised. It wasn't surprising considering his overall character, but hearing him say it himself was simply hilarious.

2 "He's The One, The Only Guy With An Arrow Pointing To His Nose! Tenzin!"

Team Avatar had run out of options while trying to recruit new airbenders, so they settled for one of Bolin's ideas. They put on a circus show for the people of a certain town to get them excited at the possibilities of airbending. When introducing Tenzin, Bolin just had to say something funny about his bald head and arrow. After yelling out about the frequency with which Tenzin shaved his head, Bolin added that Tenzin was the only man with an arrow pointing to his nose. This was true as Tenzin was the only airbending master at the time, but that was quite the way to introduce him.

1 "I'm Still Running! I Like Running!"

During an attempt to escape from Kuvira's army, Varrick created a bomb that was meant to destroy the train they were on, as well as the spirit vines used to create a devastating weapon. After forcing Baatar Jr. and his troops to withdraw from their side of the train, Bolin asked Varrick how to turn off the bomb.

Bolin was shocked to hear that there was no turning it off. The sweetness of life must've suddenly dawned on Bolin for him to say what he said next. Varrick stated that though they were going to die, they had a good run. Bolin on the other hand apparently liked running too much to stop then.
