Every individual, in fiction or in real life, is influenced by their genetic background. For some, it's a simple matter of having green eyes or blonde hair. But in anime, nothing is quite so simple.

Shoto's Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, is indeed very powerful, but it comes at too high a cost. His mother loses her mind and his older brother turns to villainy because of Endeavor's abuse.
8 The Royals of Paradis Inherit the Founding Titan (Attack on Titan)
In Attack on Titan, the members of the Reiss royal family possess the most dangerous ability of all: controlling other Titans. By using the Founding Titan, King Fritz was able to wipe the memory of his Eldian subjects, making them believe they were the last remnants of mankind.
The skill was later passed on through King Fritz's bloodline, though each inheritor was bound to Fritz's will. When it reached Frieda Reiss, the Founding Titan was stolen by Grisha Yeager, who later passed it on to his son, Eren. At first, Eren was unable to use the skill without touching a member of the royal family, but in the last arc of the manga, he was able to channel the abilities of the Founding Titan as he saw fit while going through with his plan.
7 Rin Inherits His Abilities From Satan Himself (Blue Exorcist)
The main character in the anime Blue Exorcist, Rin Okumura is the son of Satan. He was raised by the priest and exorcist Shiro Fujimoto along with his twin brother, Yukio.
Rin's abilities are sealed within the sword Kurikara, but when he unsheathes it, he's able to manifest his true potential. Rin can summon powerful blue flames, and he possesses superhuman strength and regeneration abilities. Despite being half-demon, Rin is determined to use his inherited abilities to defeat his biological father.

Jujutsu Kaisen takes place in a world where sorcerers use their special skills to hunt cursed spirits. Through jujutsu, sorcerers manipulate their cursed energy, manifesting as special techniques and spells.
The most powerful sorcerer families pass on their prized techniques. Examples include the Cursed Speech technique of the Inumaki family, the Blood Manipulation technique of the Kamo family, and the Limitless technique of the Gojo family. The latter is a trademark of fan favorite Satoru Gojo.

In Code Geass, the bearers of a "code" are immortal. They also have the ability to form contracts with other people, granting them abilities known as Geass, the power of the king.
The powers evolve with time and use, and once they mature, the contractor is able to inherit the code from its original bearer. This is C.C.'s main goal throughout the anime, and she offers the Geass of Absolute Obedience to Lelouch in the hope of finally being free of the curse of her immortality.

The power of kings comes in different forms and can have more than one origin. In K, it stems from a mysterious artifact called the Dresden Slate. Through the secrets of the Slate, the seven kings are granted auras of power, each of them different. This ability comes at a high cost, as the kings manifest a massive Sword of Damocles which deteriorates with time.
The Red King Mikoto Suoh was able to manipulate flame and had powerful offensive skills. When his Sword of Damocles nearly collapsed, the Blue King was forced to kill him. He passed on his power to his clansman, the young Anna Kushina.
3 The Vers Royals Pass On Aldnoah Through Their DNA (Aldnoah.Zero)
In Aldnoah.Zero, the first humans who reach Mars find the remnants of an ancient civilization. Dr. Rayregalia Vers Rayvers is recognized as the rightful heir of the heir of Aldnoah and receives the activation factor, which he passes on to his heirs. The ability is bestowed onto the Martian Knights, but it can also be shared through spit and blood.

In The Irregular At Magic High School, society itself rotates around the use of magic. It comes as no surprise that individuals with powerful magic are better seen than others, just like in My Hero Academia.
Genetics is also a factor, and the ten master clans — the most powerful families in Japan — seek to preserve and increase their influence by intermarrying. An example of the result is Masaki Ichijou, the Crimson Prince. With his ability, Rupture, he's able to defeat countless opponents. He loses to the protagonist of the anime, Tatsuya Shiba, but that's only because Tatsuya is a living weapon.
