Sonic Springs into Action in Rise of the Wisps' First Episode

The episode sees a Jade Wisp, one of Sonic Colorsmagical alien NPCs, relaying the story of how it was captured by the nefarious Dr. Eggman. Trapped in the mad scientist's lair, the wisps are being experimented on in an effort to siphon their innate power. As the episode progresses, the Jade Wisp is freed by a band of adventurous allies. While many wisps escape, Metal Sonic manages to recapture a few stragglers, continuing Eggman's tests.
