Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon added seven more actors to its cast.

As reported by Deadline, the actors rounding out the cast for the upcoming HBO spinoff series include Ryan Corr (Holding the Man), Jefferson Hall (Devs), David Horovitch (Miss Marple), Graham McTavish (Outlander), Matthew Needham (Chernobyl), Bill Patterson (Fleabag) and Gavin Spokes (Brexit).

Corr will appear as Ser Harwin "Breakbones" Strong, who is said to be the strongest man in the Seven Kingdoms and the eldest son of Master of Laws and Lord of Harrenhal Lyonel Strong, who will be played by Spokes. Needham will play his younger son, Larys Strong.

As for House Lannister, Hall will take on the role of Lord Jason Lannister, the Lord of Casterly Rock. Hall will also play his character's twin brother, the crafty politician, Ser Tyland Lannister. Horovitch is set to play Grand Maester Mellows, advisor to King Viserys Targaryen (portrayed by Paddy Considine). McTavish joins as Ser Harrold Westerling, a longtime member of the Kingsguard and, finally, Paterson enters the series as Lord Lyman Beesbury, the Lord of Honeyholt and King Viserys' Master of Coin.

House of the Dragon is currently the only main GoT spinoff series in active development at HBO and entered production in early 2021. The series also announced the main cast earlier this year, which includes Considine as King Viserys, a character described as "a warm, kind, and decent man, Viserys only wishes to carry forward his grandfather's legacy, but as we've learned from Game of Thrones, good men do not necessarily make for great kings."

The main cast also includes Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, King Viserys' first-born child and dragon rider; Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys "The Sea Snake" Velaryon, Lord of House Velaryon and the most famous nautical adventurer in Westeros; Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, King Viserys' younger brother and heir to the throne; and Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King and Viserys' faithful servant and Olivia Cooke as his daughter Alicent Hightower.

Two other cast members were added as well in recurring roles, which include Milly Alcock as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen and Emily Carey as a young Alicent Hightower.

Based on Martin's Fire & Blood, a collection of stories and records detailing the history of House Targaryen, House of the Dragon takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The series is expected to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2022.
