As the players explore the Carnival, they soon find several activities that are fun and engaging. However, the activities also provide clues and advantages for the adventure at hand.

10 The Carousel: Lots Of Helpful Information From The Telepathic Horses

This Carousel is not the most exciting event at the Carnival. However, this location serves as a warning of the villains in the adventure ahead. The Carousel is run by Diana Cloppington, who at first glance would be taken as a centaur. However, in reality, she was transformed by one of the sinister hags.

The Carousel has several horses whose names are missing. Each horse has a riddle tied to their names, and if the players figure it out, they can learn much valuable info. Plus, if the players succeed, they can get a free ride which is the only event.

9 The Gondola Swans: For Players That Want A Metaphysical Debate With A Giant Swan

One of the more relaxing rides in the Carnival. these involve the players riding on a Giant Swan around the entire perimeter of the Carnival. This ride itself may not be the most exciting, but it can potentially be the most philosophical.

The Giant  Swan, who goes by the name of Feathereen, likes to engage in a philosophical debate with the players; this could range from "What is joy?" to "How do I know you exist?" Not engaging with her on the debate can lead to a tumultuous ride.

8 The Feasting Orchard: Time For The Obligatory Custard Eating Contest

The Feasting Orchard is more of a relaxing area full of merrymaking and relaxing music. Here, bards and dancers can enjoy the relaxing picnic area and the live music to compliment the custard eating competition.

Players can partake in a custard eating contest where they will be up against other competitors to see who can eat the most custard-filled cupcakes. If the players fail their constitution saves, then they will take 1d8 custard damage.

7 The Bubble-Pop Teapot: Gotta Have A Magic Bubble Ride

Another relaxing ride is focused on a massive teapot creating a magical bubble for players to float above the Carnival. The ride itself is simple and only adds flavor to the Carnival, but the real reward comes from the ride's operator.

The Teapot ride operator is a goblin that goes by the name of Treaclewise who speaks in rhymes. If the players engage in him with rhyme, they are rewarded with a tealeaf that grants them the spell protect from good and evil, which is a great one to have at a low level.

6 Pixie Kingdom: Big Things Come In Small Kingdoms

This one is a rather unsuspecting event at the Carnival. A pixie runs this by the name of Jeremy Plum. He gives the players a Pixie name, then sprinkling pixie dust on them allows the characters to shrink into Pixie size.

The characters enter the now not-so-tiny kingdom and play hide and seek with several other pixies. The concept alone of imagining a whole new area only accessible to tiny creatures adds much flavor to this Feywild campaign.

5 Silversong Lake: A Magical Performance With An In-Game Heckler

This event provides many opportunities for the players to learn more about the adventure and a minor side quest. Here in this magical lake, there is a mermaid named Palasha who performs a beautiful song.

A heckler trying to disrupt the Carnival interrupts the performance, giving the characters a chance to apprehend the heckler. This heckler provides info on the main adventure by chance for characters to help Palasha with a marriage proposal.

4 Dragonfly Rides: Take a Joyride On One These Rather Tricky Mounts

Now for some of the actual rides at this Carnival. Here players come up on the new fey creature of a Trent sapling named Northwind with his squirrel friend, Red.

Players then pay for a ride on a Giant Dragonfly where they could fly in a simple pattern, or redirect the Giant Dragonfly on their path and fly around the Carnival. Players can attempt to steer the Dragonfly away from the course which may allow them some advantage later in the adventure

3 Mystery Mine: The Only Real "Coaster" In this Carnival

A dwarf magician runs this deceptive ride by the name of Zephixo. Here players must gaze into an "All-Seeing Eye" that peers into the character's deepest fear. Then players ride what looks to be a simple mine cart ride.

It turns out a magical illusion has been placed on the cart. The players then ride through a miasma of colors and monsters through a trippy "roller coaster" ride. Even though it is an illusion, this will still rock players.

2 Snail Racing: It is Like Horse Races, Only With Giant Snails

Here is where the real competition is. This is toted as one of the more popular events in the Carnival.  Here players can either compete during the race or watch and bet on the snail races.

Each snail has their name and color, and each round has a random crazy event happening that makes the race an insanely tight match. This is a chance to earn some magic items and practice the players racing skills with some easy gambling.

1 The Big Top: The Main Event Throughout The Carnival

The grand finale of the Carnival, The Big Top always has an event happening each hour of the Carnival. Finally, at the four-hour mark, there is the Big Top Extravaganza where there is a huge event like one would expect in a giant circus routine.

This event is the Crowing of The Witchlight Monarch. Depending on the character's actions, one of the players may be crowned the Monarch, which allows the players to meet with Mister Witch and Mister Light.
