Everything Confirmed For DC FanDome This October | CBR

DC FanDome, the first-of-its-kind free global virtual fan experience, is set to return for its second year on Saturday, October 16. Like last year, the celebration will feature the stars and creators across the multiple DC Comics platforms such as feature films, live-action/animated television, video games, comics, home entertainment releases, and more.

This year DC FanDome 2021 will be viewable on the social media services Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, allowing fans across the world to watch the events as they unfold in DC FanDome's Hall of Heroes. Leading up to and during the event, DC Comics encourages fans to follow the hashtag #DCFanDome on their social channels on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

10 Wonder Woman Will Take Center Stage In Honor Of Her 80 Years As A DC Icon

DC will celebrate Wonder Woman's 80 years as the icon of truth, peace, and equality by showcasing the three upcoming series created especially for this momentous occasion. These three new series will include Wonder Woman Historia from DC's Black Label Imprint, Nubia and the Amazons, and Wonderful Women of the World, an original graphic novel.

Wonder Woman Historia from the creative team of Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Phil Jimenez and Nubia and the Amazons by Vita Ayala and Stephanie Williams, along with all-star artist Alitha Martinez, will expand the already rich mythology that the Amazons have in the DCU. Laurie Halse Anderson's anthology, Wonderful Women of the World, will showcase a wide range of creators as they tell the stories of women worldwide inspired by Wonder Woman's strength, compassion, and commitment to truth, equality, and sense of justice throughout her history.

9 FanDome Will Give The Details On The DC Extended Universe Projects Coming To The Big Screen

As part of this year's event, Warner Bros. Pictures will be showcasing their six highly anticipated films with exclusive new trailers for The Batman and the League of Super-Pets project currently in the works. They have also teased a first look at The Rock as Black Adam from Shazam! Fury of the Gods, more about Ezra Miller's The Flash, and a behind-the-scenes look at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, all of which are currently in production as part of the DC Extended Universe.

8 New And Returning Animated Series On HBO Max Will Be Revealed During FanDome

DC will be giving fans the lowdown on the upcoming new and returning animated series featuring Aquaman, Harley Quinn and Ivy, Batman, and Young Justice. Aquaman: King of Atlantis, produced by James Wan,  is the light-hearted and comedic take on Aquaman as he struggles to adjust to being king of Atlantis, following the first feature film. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, the adult animated comedy series on HBO Max, will have some sneak peeks as to the hijinks the duo are sure to find themselves in during season three.

The much-anticipated Young Justice: Phantoms will reveal some spoilers, so be warned. The Dark Knight's all-new upcoming series Batman: Caped Crusader will also be featured as part of the animation block.

7 Injustice and Catwoman: Haunted Headline The Animated Films To Be Featured During The Event

The DC FanDome docket will also feature and preview the two upcoming DC Animated Films: Injustice and Catwoman: The Hunted. Injustice, inspired by the popular games franchise and comic series will be showcased and the trailer will premiere for Catwoman: Hunted, the all-new animated heist movie.

Injustice, tells the story of what happens when Superman is pushed past his limits and takes over the world, pitting heroes against each other as they must take sides with the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight. Catwoman: Haunted is the story of a jewel heist that not only puts her squarely in the crosshairs of both a powerful consortium led by Black Mask, Interpol, and the Batwoman as well.

6 HBO Max's Peacemaker And DMZ Will Join Titans And Doom Patrol As The Streaming Service's Live-Action Features

John Cena's upcoming HBO Max series Peacemaker and Ava DuVernay's limited event series, DMZ will get time in the spotlight. Expect streamers of some kind for both projects to be revealed along with other surprises. Returning again this year are favorites Titans and Doom Patrol, who won't be left out of the mix as there is sure to be some special news about this or future seasons.

5 Fear State, The Milestone Universe Return Will Lead The Publishing News Happening At The Event

For comic book readers, DC will share details about upcoming series and storylines. Fans will hear more about the next big Batman arc, Batman: Fear State, and the next installment of the Batman/Fortnite crossover event happening in the comics. Fans will hear more about the new six-issue Black Manta limited series, the Milestone Universe's return, and much more.

4 The Highly Anticipated Gotham Knights And Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Will Be Previewed Ahead Of Their 2022 Releases

Gotham Knights, the much-anticipated game developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developed by Rocksteady Studios. Gotham Knights, the action role-playing open-world game where players will work with the members of the Bat-Family to protect Gotham City.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the action-adventure shooter, is the follow up to Batman: Arkham, where the Squad must defeat Brainiac after he brainwashes the Justice League. Both games are set for a 2022 release for multiple gaming platforms.

3 The CW Will Get Air Time To Celebrate Their Established Shows and Tease The New Ones

The CW and Warner Bros. Television will give fans a look at the new seasons of Batwoman, The Flash, Superman & Lois, and Netflix's Sweet Tooth. A special farewell tribute to the Supergirl series, which has reached its sixth and final-season run with an epic finale and a celebration of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which will air its 100th episode this coming season. They are also promising to give fans the first look at forthcoming new drama Naomi, a recent addition to characters to the DCU, along with footage from an upcoming episode of their newest series, DC's Stargirl.
