Slice of Life focuses on Yuriko, who is better known as Lady Vengeance, the sword-wielding grizzled protagonist of the anime series The Sword of Lady Vengeance. Seeking revenge for the death of her boyfriend, Yuriko is killed by her archenemy Yang and unexpectedly transported to the real world upon her death, ending up in the bedroom of a super fan of her show named Ravyn. Like a fish out of water, Yuriko slowly learns to adapt to her strange surroundings and soon finds herself attracted to Ravyn's twin sister, a kind cheerleader named Lucy.

Preview images released from the first Slice of Life physical issue show Yuriko getting accustomed to her new real world surroundings, meeting Lucy for the first time and experiencing the joys of shopping with her newfound friends at the local mall. Meanwhile, Lucy's boyfriend Dante comes out to her, while Lucy herself tries to make sense of her own growing feelings for Yuriko.

"It's always been our goal to meld traditional comics with the diverse audience of Webtoon, and with this Kickstarter we're one step closer in achieving this," Calamia said of Slice of Life's impending physical release, which will collect Chapters 1-4 of the Webtoon series.

The print version of Slice of Life will also include an exclusive bonus story entitled "Lady Vengeance Goes to the Halloween Store." The tale takes place years in the future, showing a content Yuriko and Lucy shopping for Halloween costumes and reflecting on how far they've come in both life and their relationship.

Prior to their work on Slice of Life, Calamia and Falco worked on Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology, a collection of comic stories highlighting bisexuality from a variety of different perspectives. The book garnered support from over 1,300 backers and raised over $30,000 on Kickstarter in October.
