The one thing that shonen characters rarely lack is style, whether in terms of fashion or attitude. My Hero Academia is one of the better examples in which most characters are incredibly snazzy, mostly because it's a part of their job to present themselves in memorable ways.
With that said, style is quite a subjective notion, considering that audiences come prepackaged with their own understanding and appreciation of aesthetics. However, there are characters whose polished and creative appearances evoke a sense of admiration that is separate from their personalities but helps establish them as unforgettable in every sense of the word.
10 Cellophane's Cyborg-Esque Mask And Bulky Epaulets Make For A Unique Look
Hanta Sero is an eminently forgettable character while wearing civilian clothing, whereas his hero outfit turns him into a majestic force of nature that few others can contend with—in style or efficiency.
Sero's overall costume theme can be classified as cyborg-esque, mostly due to his mustard-black robotic helmet and the pair of bulky epaulets that wrap around his shoulders. The only thing Sero needs, however, is a little more confidence in his abilities.
9 Saiko Intelli's Unbreakable Presence Allows Her To Stand Apart From Her Classmates
Saiko Intelli of the Seiai Academy wears her school's standard uniform—an armor-esque skirt replete with a flowing white overcoat, completing her outfit with a fashionably oversized rose-toned bow draped around her throat.
Although her classmates also wear the same uniform, Saiko's unbreakable presence allows her to pull it off with panache. Everything else aside, it is her gold-rimmed monocle that gives her the original look that not many can compete with.
8 Can't Stop Twinkling Incorporates Quirk Control Technology Into His Delightfully Ostentatious Outfit
Yuga Aoyama is especially proud of his appearance and style, going so far as choosing Can't Stop Twinkling as his official hero name. Despite the pretentiousness that he's sometimes capable of, Aoyama's costume redefines the meaning of ostentatiousness by blending a mauve body plate, edged with gold frets and circular knee & shoulder pads.
Aoyama incorporates his Navel Laser technology in harmony with the rest of his outfit, but it's his sparkling cape and wing-themed red goggles that bring everything together perfectly.
7 Stain Makes Tattered Pieces Of Fabric And Dirty Bandages Look Cool
Stain makes his name as the dangerous Hero Killer, going around assassinating Pro Heroes based on his warped sense of morality and justice. Regardless, the villain's fashion sense is absolutely stunning, some might say bloodcurdling (which is coincidentally the name of his Quirk).
Stain's torso and lower legs are protected by metallic armor, with his torn scarf fluttering about in the wind like a reference to his internal state of mind. His most notable feature, however, is the TMNT-style bandage cloaking his furious red eyes.
6 Comicman's Natural Appearance Is Enhanced By His Ink-Themed Costume
Manga Fukidashi, or Comicman, is a student from U.A.'s oft-neglected Class 1-B. His Quirk manifests as a mutant-type, meaning that his head is replaced by an empty speech bubble that can form any text he wants, subsequently transforming the words into solid blocks that can be used as both offense and defense.
While Manga's appearance is in itself unique, his hero costume makes him look significantly cooler. His red & blue clothing is augmented by a pair of bottle-shaped shoes, and his chest is sheathed in a classic ink bottle reminiscent of his Quirk.
5 All Might Has Singlehandedly Changed The Visual Perception Of Heroism
All Might is the Symbol of Hope for multiple generations, earning his place at the top with his ultimate strength as much as with his ineffable style. His rock-solid physique notwithstanding, All Might's outfits are classic callbacks to the Golden Age of Marvel and DC heroes like Superman and Captain America.
In fact, one of the newest characters to be introduced in the manga, Star and Stripe, takes her cues from All Might's wardrobe as well as his dominating demeanor, proving how much he has singlehandedly changed the perception of heroism around the world.
4 Red Riot's Tough-Guy Demeanor Is Augmented By The Sharp-Edged Elements In His Outfit
Eijiro Kirishima dyes his hair neon-red as an homage to his favorite Pro Hero, Crimson Riot, which also explains why he chooses Red Riot for himself.
His tough-guy demeanor is highlighted through his choice of fashion, with black full-length sleeves engirding his arms while his upper body remains uncovered, revealing his muscular body. A set of thick crenelated rings circle his shoulders, while his lower face and forehead are framed by a sharp-edged guard that generates the intimidating presence Kirishima desires.
3 Gale Force's Outfit Blends A System Of Quirk-Related Pipes With A Single-Piece Suit
Inasa Yoarashi's exuberant nature and stubborn persona match well with his hero outfit—a heavy deep maroon single-piece suit held in place by a beige harness around his lower body.
The most impressive aspect of Inasa's presentation is the system of pipes that are placed at strategic points around his body, allowing him to extract the full power of his Quirk, Whirlwind. Inasa's fur-lined decolletage and Shiketsu High school hat complete this utterly spectacular look.
2 Dabi's Devil-May-Care Attitude Is The Reason He's So Chic
Dabi's staple-clamped scars are part of his style, even though the origins of his facial damage are mired in childhood misery. The purpose of his ear and nose piercings is unknown, but they seem to have gone beyond mere aesthetics.
Dabi dons a long midnight-blue overcoat (and pants to match) with massive steel bands right above his elbows. That said, the reason that he's so chic has more to do with his devil-may-care attitude than any fashion specifics.
1 Bibimi Kenranzaki Knows How To Win Beauty Pageants (Twice)
Bibimi Kenranzaki has been a two-time winner of the Miss Con competition, U.A.'s official beauty pageant that Nejire Hado is so desperate to win. Although her idea of style might seem over the top to some people, it's clear that Bibimi takes the art of dressing herself extremely seriously.
During the Miss Con in the series, she wears a multi-patterned dress with a rose-pink base, a pearl-like necklace, and a magnificent hairpin from Japan's Taisho period (1912-1926). Bibimi knows exactly what's needed to win her the pageant crown.
