Netflix has unveiled a map featuring the iconic locations from Stranger Things, including some not yet seen.
As a part of Stranger Things Day, a new teaser trailer released showing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) adjusting to life in school and outside of Hawkins, Indiana. Now, the small town that has served as the the primary locale for the series since its beginning gets mapped out for fans to visit all their favorite moments and locations. Some locations have only been teased though, such as the Creel House and a Russian prison, which will be explored in the upcoming Season 4.
Cartographers might question the accuracy and scale of this map, being that some locations seem much closer to one another than they appeared to be in the series. For example, Starcourt Mall, the Season 3 location that was the epicenter of its finale, is shown as being just a block or two away from the Byers' residence. If all of these buildings were as close as they are on the map, the frantic drive trying to outrun and distract the Mind Flayer while Dustin and Suzie jammed out to "Never Ending Story" likely would not have been as long.
Of course, many other well-known series areas are shown as well, along with unforgettable moments. Hawkins National Laboratory is shown on the left side, with the Byers' house, Hopper's cabin and Castle Byers closeby--along with the Demogorgon from Season 1. The bike ride when Eleven flipped a van over our protagonists' heads is shown towards the top of the map, though there are many other locations from Seasons 2, 3 and onward featured.
These locations include the school where the show's leading characters attend, the town square, the police station and more, like the junkyard where Dustin (Gaten Marazzo), Steve (Joe Keery), Max (Sadie Sink) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) were nearly overrun by Demodogs in Season 2. However, the map also features a Russian prison in the corner, where Hopper will be trapped during Season 4, a teaser released earlier showing the police chief working alongside other prisoners.
Another location shown near Season 3's pool and carnival on the map is the Creel House, an upcoming Season 4 location. A teaser released during Netflix's TUDUM event showed that the location will have a murderous backstory, along with a possible connection to the Upside Down, the other dimension explored in the series. Horror legend and actor Robert Englund will be joining the upcoming season as Victor Creel, described as a disturbed and intimidating man in prison for a gruesome murder committed in the 1950s.
While the map gives fans more of an idea of the town of Hawkins and locations that will be featured in Season 4, the upcoming season does not currently have a release date.
