My Hero Academia: All Original Main Villains From The Films, Ranked

The three My Hero Academia movies that have been released so far have introduced a handful of unique villains. Despite most of them making no appearance in the manga or anime, many of them left a large impression on fans, and fans are hoping to see these villains again in the future.

Not every villain was well-received, however, as some simply did not have interesting quirks or the time to be fully fleshed out. Others were downright annoying, making fans hope for their defeat as soon as possible. These villains are ranked based on quirk, personality, and their role in their respective movies.

13 Serpenters Are The Most Annoying Villains

Serpenters joined Humarise in order to be spared. They are introduced at the end of the movie, giving fans little time to get attached to them. In fact, the movie doesn't even clarify that they are twin villains, as the second appears out of nowhere with the exact same quirk, personality, and annoying laugh. Their obnoxious laugh especially made it difficult to get invested in their battle against Bakugo, making fans wish Bakugo defeated them sooner.

12 Daigo Has An Underwhelming Quirk

Daigo is a forgettable villain, as he makes a short appearance with Nobu to fight Shoto, Katsuki, and Eijiro. His quirk grants him extra strength, making him purple and more massive. It doesn't take much for the students to take him and his partner down, and they are quickly replaced by I-Island's security drones. In the long run, Daigo doesn't contribute much to the plot.

11 Swordkil Is Far Too Arrogant

Swordkil has a quirk that allows him to cover his arms with blades. Although he seems to play a leadership role, issuing orders to everyone but Wolfram, his quirk is far from being the most powerful in the group. When confronting Deku and Melissa Shield, he acts so arrogant during their battle that he leaves himself wide open. A single punch from Deku is enough to take him out.

10 Nobu's Quirk Is Interesting, But He Doesn't Last Long Against His Opponents

Nobu joins Daigo in fighting Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, and Eijiro Kirishima. His large, webbed hands are able to displace anything from a distance, making him an extremely dangerous foe. As soon as Daigo is defeated, it doesn't take Nobu long to follow suit. It is a little anticlimactic to know that getting Bakugo's sweat was what led to his downfall.

9 Sidero's Quirk Has Potential, But He's Too Eager To Surrender

Sidero appears briefly with Beros, attacking Deku and Rody Soul. His quirk allows him to pull iron balls from his knuckles, which grow in size after they are thrown. His quirk is especially threatening when paired with Beros', as she can use his quirk in place of ammo. Despite having such a good quirk, he loses and is very quick to answer all of the heroes' questions.

8 Leviathan Is A Well-Designed Beast On A Rampage

Leviathan is one of the best-designed villains in the movies. After enhancing his abilities with Trigger, he has become a mindless beast. He doesn't speak a word and wears an unsettling grin on his face during his battle against Shoto Todoroki. Not only is he powerful, but he can also manipulate the red tendrils on his body. Despite having no self-control, he still is intelligent enough to fend off Shoto's attacks for most of the battle.

7 Flect Turn's Backstory Doesn't Garner Any Sympathy

Flect Turn's motivations are not fleshed out well enough, making his character suffer. He believes that all quirks are diseases, and that ridding society of quirks would benefit humanity as a whole. His attempts to do this would lead to the deaths of everyone with a quirk. He feels this way about quirks because his own quirk makes it impossible for others to touch him unless it is pushed past its limit. His quirk's power is lackluster as well since Deku defeats him by simply punching him a bunch of times.

6 Beros Is A Great Villain Who Died Too Soon

Beros is completely dedicated to Humarise, sharing the organization's belief that those with quirks are diseased. To atone for having a quirk, she follows Flect Turn's commands without question and even throws away her own life to keep herself from spilling any secrets to the heroes.

She can transform her fingers into a bow and shoot arrows from it with deadly accuracy, and she hunts Deku down mercilessly for most of the movie. She would have been a much better villain to have during the film's final battle.

5 Mummy Can Control Inanimate Objects

Mummy has a powerful quirk that he mercilessly uses against the students of Class 1-A. His bandages can manipulate any inanimate object that they grab, turning them into mummies who attack his enemies. He is able to control people as long as they are covered in enough non-living materials, which would make their friends hesitate to attack. He briefly captures Bakugo this way but is unable to keep him contained.

4 Slice's Quirk And Intelligence Make Her A Formidable Opponent

Slice has hair that can be used as projectiles, which can be shot out with such power that she is able to destroy a line of ships with one sweep of her hair. She is both loyal and caring when it comes to her comrades but vicious during her battles against heroes. Mina Ashido and Fumikage Tokoyami struggled to defeat her and were only able to win after Mina's acid shot damaged Slice's hair and Dark Shadow went berserk. Although Slice was smart enough to attack the ceiling to let some light in, she was defeated in the end.

3 Chimera Is The Strongest Villain Subordinate In The Films

Chimera may not have been the primary villain of the second film, but he was so powerful that he could defeat a group of professional heroes on his own. It took more than one attempt for the students to bring him down, and Shoto Todoroki was forced to freeze him from the inside out in order to stop him with the help of his classmates. None of the students would have been able to defeat him on their own.

2 Nine Is A Villain Driven To Desperation

Nine's primary quirk allows him to control the weather, but overusing it takes a toll on his body. His short-term goal was to steal a cell activation quirk so that he would be able to heal himself from the damage that came with overusing his quirk.

He used a weaker version of All For One, and the entirety of Class 1-A had to work together in order to not only bring him down but also keep the islanders safe. Even with so many people contributing to the final battle, it was a difficult win to pull off.

1 Wolfram Attacked And Took Over I-Island

I-Island had some of the best security in the world, and until Wolfram's appearance, it had never experienced a villain attack before. Wolfram was so merciless that he shot Sam, who was willing to hand over the quirk-amplifying device to him. The device made his metal manipulation quirk even stronger, allowing him to effortlessly utilize all of the metal around him in one of the most intense fights of the franchise.
