Sakura is one of the main characters in Naruto. She is a member of Team 7 along with Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi. Unlike the other members of her team, she doesn't always come across as a capable ninja. Sakura has a reputation for being useless.
There are times her actions in the series make no sense. There are times she overreacts and times when she underreacts, and is inconsistent in her ability and personality. Sakura can sometimes take things too far, not caring how her words and actions affect those around her. She is a valued member of the team, but fans are a little more mixed on their opinion of her.
10 She Broke Off Her Friendship With Ino
Ino and Sakura fought for most of Part 1, but they were once close friends. Their mutual love for Sasuke drove a wedge into their relationship. It was Sakura who made the decision to break off their friendship.
Ino looked shocked and hurt when Sakura said they couldn't be friends anymore. Sakura didn't seem to care how her words would affect Ino. She hurt her friend's feelings over a boy. Their friendship is transformed into rivalry, with both girls fighting for Sasuke's attention.
9 She Insulted Sasuke While Criticizing Naruto
Sakura thought that being put on a team with her crush gave her the perfect excuse for hanging out with Sasuke. After some confusion, she finally runs into the real Sasuke. She is a bit confused to find out that he is looking for Naruto.
She starts criticizing Naruto's behavior and lack of parents. The criticism inadvertently reminds Sasuke of the worst moment of his life. For some reason, Sakura didn't understand how her words would affect Sasuke.
8 She Almost Resigned From The Chunin Exams
Sasuke and Naruto showed a lot more dedication to completing the Chunin Exams. There are two times Sakura almost resigns when she doubts the abilities of her team.
When she doubts Naruto's intelligence, she nearly quits, but his words manage to stop her. After Sasuke receives the curse mark, she almost raises the alarm until Sasuke stops her. Her actions could have cost her team a promotion. In the end, Naruto and Sasuke look more serious about their status as ninja.
7 She Offered To Go With Sasuke When He Left The Village
Sakura made her feelings for Sasuke extremely clear. It really was no surprise that when he left the village, she offered to go with him. Her kind words had an obvious effect on him. He clearly appreciated her, even if he didn't necessarily have romantic feelings towards her.
Sakura would have been risking her life if she had actually gone with Sasuke to Orochimaru. She didn't seem to fully understand how dangerous Orochimaru was. If she left the village, she would have been labeled a missing nin and become an enemy of the Leaf Village.
6 She Asked Naruto To Bring Sasuke Back
After Sasuke left the village, Sakura was absolutely heartbroken. She demanded that Naruto promise to bring him back, and he agreed.
Sakura didn't seem to care how her words would affect Naruto. Naruto had made it clear that he had feelings for her. Her promise must have hurt his feelings. She didn't seem to care about how the situation might have affected Naruto, only being concerned with her own pain.
5 Her Empty Confession To Naruto
At one point in the series, Sakura decides to confess her feelings for Naruto. Naruto outright rejects her, seeing straight through to her true motivation. He knows that the person she truly loves is Sasuke.
Sakura doesn't seem to fully understand why Naruto doesn't accept her confession. To some degree, it seemed like she was lying to herself. She was making a small effort to move on from her past. She wanted to help Naruto move on too. Naruto refused to give up on Sasuke and didn't want to see her give up either.
4 She Knocked Out Her Friends
When Sakura decided to go after Sasuke, she took some members of the Konoha 11 with her. Kiba managed to locate Sasuke, and she persuaded him to tell her his location. She tried to use a type of gas to knock out Sasuke, wanting to go after him herself.
She managed to succeed in knocking them out. She went out on her own to pursue Sasuke. She was determined to kill him but failed to follow through, and ended up knocking out the rest of her team for no reason.
3 She Punches Naruto A Lot
In Part 2, Sakura develops a habit of punching Naruto. The action was initially meant to be a running joke, but many fans felt like the joke went too far. Especially after her training with Tsunade has increased her strength and power.
Sakura first punched Naruto shortly after he returned to the village. She called him an idiot after realizing he hadn't changed that much, despite growing older.
2 She Loves Sasuke Regardless Of His Actions
Sakura's love for Sasuke borders on obsession. She continues to love him regardless of what he does. His brutality during the Chunin Exams, his desertion of the village, and his attempt to kill her should have changed her opinion of him.
Nothing that he does seems to change her mind, and she continues to love him no matter what he does. When another boy confesses to her, she turns him down. She's never been able to move on in life. Her total dedication to Sasuke is a bit overboard.
1 She Destroys Her House To Avoid Talking To Her Daughter
Sarada barely remembers her father. It seems natural that she would have questions about Sasuke. She turns to her mother when she becomes desperate to learn more about her dad, and becomes dissatisfied with Sakura's answers.
An argument between the two seems to end when Sakura ends up destroying their house by punching the ground with one of her powerful fists. Sakura lost control of herself as she destroyed the home she shared with her daughter.
