A new promo for "Fear Me" -- the upcoming fifth episode of The Flash Season 7 -- sees Barry Allen and the rest of Team Flash confronted with nightmares and hallucinations thanks to the villain known as Psych (played by Ennis Esmer).
The short promo opens with Iris confirming to Barry that she had a nightmare the previous night. In the next scene, Barry (as the Flash) is confronted by Psych and left bleeding in the middle of the street. Viewers then get a look at what exactly Psych is forcing Barry see, including a hallucination of Cisco's apparent death.
Created by Joshua Williamson and Rafa Sandoval, the character of Bashir -- aka Psych -- first appeared in 2019's The Flash #61. In the DC Comics universe, Psych hails from the European nation of Zandia, where supervillains are eligible for diplomatic immunity. He is a telepath capable of casting illusions into the minds of others.
"Fear Me" is set to air on The CW this Tuesday, March 30. The episodes' full synopsis reads as follows:
When a powerful new villain channels and amplifies everyone's fears in order to wreck havoc on Central City, Barry realizes that he must face his own worst fear in order to beat this new threat.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. New episodes air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
