Marvel Studios has revealed a special look at Loki, the upcoming Disney+ series starring Tom Hiddleston, during a special Marvel-themed NBA telecast between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans.
The short teaser mainly focuses on Loki being recruited and working for the Time Variance Authority. "This variant is insubordinate, stubborn, unpredictable," Gugu Mbatha-Raw tells Owen Wilson. "He's really good," he replies, "but really arrogant."
"I am Loki," Tom Hiddleston says later in the special clip, "and I am burdened with glorious purpose." Scenes from Loki play throughout the video, as words appear on the screen declaring "Loki's Time Has Come."
A recent toy leak for Loki updated the description of the series while also giving a glimpse at how the trickster's actions in Avengers: Endgame have impacted the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. "Mere moments after his escape during the events of Avengers Endgame, Loki is apprehended by the TIME VARIANCE AUTHORITY (TVA) and arrested for his crimes against the 'sacred timeline,'" the toy description reads.
Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard E. Grant. The series premieres June 11 on Disney+.
