One Piece: 10 Characters We'd Love To See Join The Straw Hats

No fan of One Piece would deny that it has one of the greatest casts of characters in all of anime. This isn't just referring to the main cast of the series but also each and every character introduced over the course of their journey through the East Blue, the Grand Line, and the Red Line.

One of the main things that these fans are constantly looking forward to is just who will be the next member of Luffy's all-star pirate crew, The Straw Hats. It seems like as soon as a new ally shows up, the fandom starts theorizing if and why they will decide to join Luffy on his trip to the final island where One Piece is held. While not all of them turn out to be correct, that doesn't stop anyone from thinking about which characters would be great fits for the crew.

10 Carrot Has Been Traveling With The Straw Hats For 3 Arcs & Is A Very Popular Character

Carrot is one of the newest characters who has decided to travel with the Straw Hat crew. She's been present for three arcs now, Zou, Whole Cake, and now the current Wano arc. She's been shown time and time again to fit right in with the crew.

Not only is she now one of the current most popular characters in the series as shown by the global poll, but she also has the skill-set, potential power, and humor to be able to keep up with the rest of the team. Not to mention, she and Chopper seem like the perfect duo.

9 Yamato Would Gladly Join The Fight Against Kaido

Another character who was recently introduced in the series is Yamato who is referred to as the son of one of the Yonko, Kaido. Despite being the son of this beast, Yamato would rather defeat Kaido and aligns much more with the famed Kozuki Oden.

Yamato is the new big prediction to become a member of the Straw Hat Crew and for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons is that Yamato has a dream to follow and wishes to go out to sea after a promise from Luffy's big brother, Portgas D. Ace.

8 It Would Be Great To See Momonosuke Follow His Father's Path

Momonosuke is one character who probably won't be following the Straw Hats once the Wano arc is over. This is due to the fact that his entire goal is finishing his father's mission and continuing where he left off -- he must become the Shogun of Wano.

However, no one will disagree that it would be awesome to have Momonosuke follow in his father's footsteps and travel on the ship of the future Pirate King to that final island. This would be an awesome mirror to Kozuki Oden's journey with Gol D. Roger.

7 Tama Fits Right In With The Straw Hats

Tama was promised years ago by Ace that he would let her join his pirate crew before he met his untimely fate during Marineford. After meeting Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats, she has found another pirate captain whom she looks up to.

Many are predicting that Tama will either join the Straw Hats or have yet another case where the captain tells her to wait until she's older. Either way, it's easy to see her being a great new member of the crew.

6 Pedrop Probably Would Have Journeyed With Them After Whole Cake

The former captain of the Nox Pirates was a lot like Tama when he was younger. Pedro, the jaguar Mink pirate with a 382,000,000 belly bounty on his head was turned away long ago by captain Gol D. Roger, so it'd be easy to see him wanting to continue traveling with the Straw Hats after Whole Cake.

Pedro took his belief in the Straw Hat crew so far that he sacrificed himself in order to allow them to escape from Big Mom during Whole Cake Island. He stated that he believed the crew would bring the Dawn of the World

5 Hatchan Would Be A Reliable Crewmate & A Great Chef

Hatchan's life was full of twists and turns but no one could predict that he would go from being a grand enemy of the Straw Hats during the Arlong Park arc to being a major ally during the Sabaody arc.

Hatchan has since proved to be an amazing ally of the Straw Hats and an even better help in the kitchen thanks to how great he is at making his famous takoyaki. Thanks to this and his six-sword-style, he's proven to be a reliable partner who has redeemed himself past his old ways.

4 No Fan Would Deny Bon Clay Of Joining

Bon Clay is another character who has redeemed themself past their old ways due to bad affiliations. Unlike the rest of Baroque Works, Bon Clay has gone out of their way to become close friends with Luffy and, by extension, the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates.

This fact was made extremely evident when Bon Clay sacrificed their life and freedom back during the Impel Down arc where they stayed behind to open the gate and allow Luffy to escape.

3 Broggy & Dorry Had Great Synergy With The Straw Hats

Two of the characters who the Straw Hats met much earlier on and would be amazing allies for the trip through the Grand Line are the warrior leaders of Elbaf, Broggy and Dorry. These two had great synergy with the Straw Hats and probably would be great to have along with a bigger boat.

Not only are they very powerful and friendly with the rest of the Straw Hats, but it's believed that the Straw Hats will be going to Elbaf soon, so they would make for great partners to have on board.

2 Vivi Is Basically Already A Member

Vivi was one of the earliest characters who appeared, and many One Piece fans believed she would set sail with the all-star pirate crew. However, she couldn't ignore her new duties and stayed behind.

Despite this, many still considered her a temporary Straw Hat member, while others even still consider her somewhat of a long-distance and loose member of the crew.

1 Rebecca Fit The Straw Hat Vibes & Became A Good Friend Of Luffy

Another character that would be an awesome addition to the Straw Hat roster is Rebecca. This reluctant gladiator fit right in with the attitude of the team and became a great friend of Luffy.

Her situation was a lot like Vivi's and the two even bonded over it. While she would be a great member, she decided to give up not only her royal status but also any chance of going out to sea, all for the sake of staying and catching up on lost time with her father.
