The releases will be interconnected and build an overall world through their separate mediums and stories. The game, series and manga take place in a world that has been afflicted by the "Randolph Syndrome," which has spread across the planet. Each project will see distinct characters and stories. A trailer for each release was uploaded following the project's announcement.
Deep Insanity: Asylum will be be free-to-play RPG for mobile and PC, with in-game purchases. It sees a huge underground world appearing in Antarctica following Randolph Syndrome's spread, with strange organisms and unknown resources appearing in the cavern. Humans must utilize those resources and the genetic information of the creatures in order to stop the disease's spread. The game will feature skill selection-based battles that progress in real-time. Deep Insanity: Nirvana will focus on Sergiu Sol, a boy who has an innate resistance to the disease. Deep Insanity: The Lost Child will take place somewhere between the two stories.
Deep Insanity: The Lost Child is produced by Silver Link and will begin airing in October. Deep Insanity: Nirvana began its serialization in the Monthly Big Gangan magazine and will receive standalone volumes on September 25. Deep Insanity: Asylum will be available in Japan in September for Android, iOS and PC, with a demo launching in July. There is no western release currently planned.
