Avatar's Aang, Korra Are Reportedly In Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Following the debut of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's box art, fans are confident that Aang and Korra, from the Avatar franchise, will be included in the game's roster.

The box art for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl depicts the silhouetted outlines of several fighters, leading fans to speculate as to what other fighters could still be revealed. One Twitter thread was able to identify several outlines of newcomers, including CatDog, Ren & Stimpy and the master benders from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra, Aang and Korra.

In addition to the silhouettes pointed out on Twitter, a brief flash of the trailer shows an Avatar-themed stage: the Western Air Temple from complete with Aang's iconic glider. While it is still unknown if any locations from The Legend of Korra will make an appearance, these teasers promise at least some Avatar content in the upcoming fighting game.

Aang and Korra, two incarnations of the "Avatar" capable of bending water, earth, fire and air, have risen to cartoon stardom ever since the 2005 debut of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Since then, their popularity has grown, with original creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante Dimartino teaming up to create Avatar Studios in a bid to further grow the Avatar universe.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a Super Smash Bros.-like fighting game in the vein of Brawlhalla or Rivals of Aether. Players will be able to pick from several classic Nickelodeon characters to duke it out all across the Nickelodeon universe, from the mutagen-filled sewers of New York to tranquil Jellyfish Fields. The trailer indicates that players will aim to damage and launch their opponents out of the selected arena. The more damage done to a fighter, the easier they are to launch.

Several fighters have already been revealed, including Nigel Thornberry, Rugrats' Reptar and Michelangelo and Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, as indicated by the additional fighters — such as Aang and Korra — featured in the game's box art, it's safe to say that fans can expect more character reveals in the build-up to launch.

If you fancy finding out which cartoon character would win in a fight, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launches fall 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
