Crunchyroll announced that several of fall 2021's most popular new anime series and some older shows are receiving English dubs.
English dubs for SAKUGAN, Platinum End and The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat will be launched later this month and the casts feature several popular and experienced voice actors. For example, Anne Yatco (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level) and Chris Smith (Attack on Titan) are playing Memempu and Gagumber in SAKUGAN, which follows a daughter-father team of mech pilots.
The English cast for Platinum End includes Alejandro Saab (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom) as Mirai Kakehashi, Daman Mills (Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages) as Revel and Laura Post (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Saki Hanakago. The story follows a young boy who battles against 12 other humans in order to become the next god of the world.
The World's Finest Assassin follows Lugh, the heir to a noble family who in a previous life was a great assassin, as he endeavors to save the world from destruction. Christian Banas (Pokémon Journeys: The Series) stars as Lugh with Caitlin Glass (My Hero Academia) as Dia and Courtney Lin (Kuroko's Basketball) as Tarte.
SAKUGAN's and Platinum End's English dubs are scheduled to premiere on Nov. 18 and The World's Finest Assassin's English dub is set to debut on Nov. 24. Other series that will receive English dubs this year include Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles and The Faraway Paladin.
Moreover, two other English dubs are set for release in early 2022. DON'T TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO's English dub will launch on Jan. 11; currently, there are no details about the cast members. ODD TAXI's English dub will be released on Jan. 16. The cast includes Mike McFarland (Dragon Ball Super, Dr. Stone) as Hiroshi Odokawa, Lucien Dodge (The Seven Deadly Sins, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) as Eiji Kakihana, Zeno Robinson (The Case Study of Vanitas, Black Clover) as Taichi Kabasawa and Lauren Landa (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, Beastars) as Miho Shirakawa.
Crunchyroll also announced multiple non-English dubs: Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is receiving dubs in Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! and Laid-Back Camp are receiving dubs in Spanish and Portuguese.
